Milley is one of a kind. He does get off topic, but his tangents are generally interesting, if not amusing. He's hard, but passionate. Overall, he was a good part of my AU experience.

People either love or hate Milley, and it tends to be the amount of time you put into the class and how much you think outside the box. If you're just there to get your English class over with, get someone easier. If you're there to learn, without actually realizing it because he's always off topic (which isn't a bad thing though) take Milley.

I just heard he retired. Thank God! He was a joke, an egotistical and lazy person who never talked about course stuff, just his daughter and movies and whatever else he could to fill up the time so he wouldn't have to actually do his job. From what I've heard, if he was ever any good, it waslong ago. The English depart just got ten times better.

Both classes are great! He does get off topic, but that keeps you awake in the morning and brings interesting conversations to the class. Don't take him if you're a lazy student. He won't appreciate you're waisting his time. If you show effort he is very understanding and helpful. Favorite prof.

I really enjoyed this class. He got off subject a lot, but that made going to class interesting. I had it at 8am and only missed one class due to an illness. Dont take his class if you are struggling with writing. He is very helpful, but you need strong base knowledge in english for this class.

He does get off topic, but sometimes that's what makes the class interesting. He's also a bit opinionated and some people can't deal with that, but if you can and you pay attention, you will not only do well in this class, you will learn from it.

Terrible. Stay away if you can help it. His class was a total waste of my time, and I did't learn anything. It was extremely difficult because he didn't TEACH anything and grades on an extremely biased scale. If I hear "and so forth" or one of those cursed SNORTS! again, I might scream!

His classes are horrible. I learned more about his son and Boston than I did about english. I asked for his help on 2 papers. After I did exactly what he told me to do to fix the papers, I still recieved bad grades. If you are hott and are willing to flirt a little you will pass, but if not too bad

Yikes. The class was a snoozer except when he talked about himself, which was almost worse. I didn't learn a thing in this class; learned more about writing papers from my 1 hour psych lab class. Avoid him if at all possible.

west. lit didn't feel like an elective. i felt i was accidentally seated in an ivy-league upper-english course. to pass, one must memorize the books/readings by heart. difficult! don't even think about skipping, unless you're dropping.
