Horrible teacher. More of a commedy show than a learning experience. To even attempt getting good grades youll have to reread the books yourself since its impossible to keep up with his rusty unpracticle teaching styles. Its a time consuming hard waste of money that requires you to learn on your own. With a total of 4 grades,1 mistake will hurt.

He's a very nice guy and makes class enjoyable so no issue paying attention in lectures. The three quiz's are pretty easy if you study the texts, however the final screwed me over. He told the class the final would consist of 50 questions all taken from past tests but they were not. Despite perfect attendance and a B on 3 quizes, I got a D on final

Second time taking Fred. He's a funny teacher, can be a d!ck sometimes. Class' A was from 90-100 no A-. If you show up everyday you get +4 percent to your grade at the end of semester. 4 Tests All 50 true and false, no other grading material. study your notes before each test and It is an easy A. Also he curses like a sailor!

TAKE HIM TAKE HIM TAKE HIM. But also, SHOW UP. He literally tells you the exact things on the exams (4 exams of 50 T or F qs). Also, if you never miss, he will boost up your FINAL grade 4%!!! He is probably my favorite professor I've ever taken. Made Philosophy super fun and interesting too.

Time for dear Fred to retire. As funny and cute as he is at 72, he is long past relating to the current world of technology. Had him for an online class. Paper assigned had to be MAILED to him- with self addressed stamped envelope to get your paper back for feedback. This is an online class. Feedback he provided on paper was not at all helpful.

By far one of the greatest professors I've ever had. Loves what he does and shows it. Answers all questions and loves being asked questions. Extra credit for perfect attendance. Studying is required for exams, which can have a few tricky questions but still worth taking the class.

Amusing teacher but the class is terribly boring and confusing. Tests are the only way to earn points, if you perform poorly there is not much else you can do to bump up your grade. Many students dropped this class and most of the seats that were occupied ended up empty. Don't recommend.

He was awesome. Absolutely loves teaching philosophy and he answers all questions. He has a crude humor, but still a great guy. Easy class. 3 midterms and 1 final and they're all 50 true and false questions. Also if you attend every class he bumps you up a grade at the end.

Funniest professor I've ever had! Get ready to laugh! You need all the books or else you won't do too great on the exams, but the books are super cheap, none of the are more than $12. Also adds 4 points to your final grade if you come to every class. GREAT professor and a philosophy genius.

Such an awesome professor for a number of reasons, but mostly because he absolutely loves everything he's teaching and he gets so into it. He loves philosophy so much that he gives you the opportunity to call on the weekends and ask questions because there's literally nothing else he'd rather be doing than teaching philosophy. Best professor. Ever.

I took Dr. Fred Seddon's Critical Thinking 101 class in Altoon back in '03 or '04, and graduated in spring 2008. I cannot tell you how much this man has influenced so many things in my life, and in my professional IT career. I don't remember many professors names, but his name is burned in my head as a key-influencer. Thank you so much, Doc!

The class is so-so. If you need a easy gen ed, go ahead and take this class but don't study with Seddon if you actually enjoy philosophy, his classes on it are pretty shallow in nature and he's a bit arrogant, prepare to have one or more rude comments flung at you if you put yourself out there at all. Just be quiet and take the tests.

Hes a great professor really knows his stuff. 3 Test true false which are pretty hard its really confusing but if you get high 70s on all of the tests and ace the final with an 86 and attend every class youll get a B+ which I thought was very good for this class. Take notes and GO to every class you get 4 bonus points added to your final grade !
