Comment:

I feel like I need to be a bio grad student to understand his slides, and yet his job is to teach introductory material. He presents this material in unnecessarily complicated ways, and often reads directly off of his powerpoints without offering any simplification or elaboration. He's a typical researcher who is forced to lecture, and he is BAD.

Comment:

He doesn't keep up with blackboard, he had us use Wiley, but it was annoying to sort through and determine which assignments were and were not done. Very disorganized when it came to homework and grades. His tests were hard and his lectures go over many topics, so studying is difficult. Not sure what grading structure we used in the end either.

I liked his personality, but not his teaching style. You will take a lot of notes in his class, so be prepared with a notebook. He also makes his tests very, very difficult and he does not specify what he will have on them other than the subjects they are over. He also made us buy TopHat, which wasted my money. Don't buy the book. Good luck.

His notes are long and fast, get ready to write. Appreciated him more once Oyarce took over. Knows what he's teaching well and is kind of funny sometimes. Read the chapters and you'll be fine. Keep up, try not to skip class, but it wouldn't kill your grade to miss a couple lectures. I would've liked him to teach all semester.

Not my favorite. He gave us homework online but it wasn't clear exactly what we had to do. Very knowledgeable, but his notes were SUPER detailed and a giant cluster of words. Generally not a very organized guy. His tests are hard and cover a lot of information. Start studying early. I think he genuinely cares about the class but is just odd.

I didn't like him. Tests were really hard because there was too much material on one test. If there was another prof to take for this class I would say do it but there isn't. Don't buy the book, just wiley. Lectures online so you don't even have to go to class unless he does clickers which didn't start til half way through the class. Good luck.

There's a lot of material to cover in this class so it makes it difficult/time consuming to study for the tests! A lot of people think he's rude. I think he's funny. He's straight forward. 88-100=A Book is expensive and not needed. Only need WileyPlus login online. Not many chances for EC. Videos of lectures are posted online=AWESOME! Very helpful!

Well he knows his stuff, and he's the type of person whose presence is enough to make the class shut up....a bit intimidating. But overall he's a nice guy with a strange sense of humor who makes somewhat difficult tests for you to take only because there is such an ungodly amount of content covered. (exam #3 is the sketchiest, so prepare)

His biggest problem is that he is very unfriend for his students. Also, he ignored the textbook and he never provide his ppt file. On his class, it is not a studying time but a writing time. However, this school only provides him for anatmy I class. You have no choice.

He comes off mean and rude, but is a good guy if you need help as long as you don't have a bad attitude with him. Anatomy is hard and a lot of material is covered, but he does a good job of explaining. Tests aren't too hard, just know the info. There's a lot of notes take, but write them and retype them later. That helped me a lot on the tests.

If you ask him a question, he'll answer it; however, if you show up to his office with an attitude he's going to respond in kind. Go in with a positive attitude and he's more than willing to help. Remember, if you can't get through Anatomy, how are you supposed to get through pharmacy school? He's on the admissions committee so play nice.

OK, so I went into this class fairly excited, he seemed like a nice guy and he kinda is....to be put clearly he is nice but he seems burnt out and you can feel it in his lectures, This is a required class for the curriculum so theres little getting away from him, go to class, dont worry about the book, and if he probably will mess up your clickers

The subject is hard and his class is harder. Tests ARE difficult! He is nice if you do not do well on a test and talk to him in his office, he will go over it. BRING YOUR COMPUTER TO CLASS YOUR HAND WILL CRAMP! If you have a clicker problem don't go to him he doesn't care. If you find he is in the wrong he will correct himself. Helped me pass.

What can i say that hasn't already been said. I hated this guy & have no respect for the man, if you can call him a man, he ignores emails, does not teach, reads off the Powerpoints, like a trained monkey can't do that. Test are a crazy mess! HE thinks they are fair, but are not. I'm a straight A student who struggled.
