NEVER try taking a stab at problem in class unless you're 100% sure of the answer--he'll diminish you & let your classmates know it. His office hours useless. Overall, a good and passionate math teacher...teaches in a way that enforces concepts instead of just memorizing things...at times, he forgets to finish example problems, he just leaves them half done on the board and moves on...i suggest reading the material before coming to class because he usually just flies through it...he's also pretty funny

Took his class and almost died. I got an A in calc in high school, and almost got a C with him. He goes over concepts too quickly, and if it wasn't for my notes from high school, I wouldn't have done as well as I did. He is available to help you out, but acts surprised that you don't understand. There are better profs for this course.

He is an ok prof. He seems very anxious and often flies right through lessons w/o much useful explanation. My main complaint is the book he uses. It was written by a former MU professor. It's the worst math book I have ever used. The examples are horrible at explaining the answer. I think the author was paid by the # of complex words in the book.

Super nice guy.. and very very smart! Sometimes he teaches really fast, but if you go to his office hours, he's more than willing to make sure you know the material. GRADES MUCH EASIER THAN OTHER MATH PROFESSORS

His exams are NOT hard, he's just a terrible teacher! More than half the time I would leave class frustrated with him: he'll start an example on the board, then show your all the possible ways it MIGHT work, but he never reaches a final answer. However, I never did the homework, studied the night before exams, and got a C+ in the course.

Nice guy dont get me wrong, but exams are VERY DIFFICULT. None of the quizes or examples in class even compare to the difficulty of the questions on the exams. Class is boring, but he deff knows his material and explains it well. Unless you like difficult exams take a diff prof.

Apparently this guy is the head of the math department, which is surprising because I don't think he is a very good prof. He definately knows what he's doing but explains things in the most difficult manner. My high school calc was more in depth and i got better grades. HIS EXAMS ARE REDICULOUSLY HARD. Find another prof who is easier.
