Dr. Cantalupo is a good will help you improve your writing. Some of the books (and the cult film) were boring, but it still wasn't that bad. However, I did improve my writing in that class. If you do horrible on an essay (F), she will let you redo it for 3 points off. Overall, I think she was a good professor who helped me out quite a bit.

Women Writers was an okay class and Cantaloupo is an okay teacher. Class discussion never seemed to be very strong, and we spent a lot of time sitting there silent. Take Home Tests are a pain, due to their extreme length (20+ pages) so theres a lot of work. But its not graded overly difficultly. Not a bad class or teacher, but not great.

Dr. Cantalupo is a very nice woman even though she often seems flustered. Her class is moderately difficult because the essays come one after the other, and she gets mad if you don't understand certain definitions from the texts. A little outspoken sometimes, but she is very smart.

Writing is re-writing. Prepare to work hard and to emerge from her courses knowing how to communicate effectively with written words. I took her course about 12 years ago. And, it definitely gave me an edge on every written works I've done since.
