Jameson is "America's Greatest living Marxist". Coming from the post-modernist tradition, Jameson is obscurantist, divisive, and hyper-critical of capitalism (while reaping its benefits). He is brilliant, and uses that brilliance to stealthily push an ideological agenda, namely, that Western culture is the root of the planet's problems. Just no.

his lectures aren't continuous and systematic, instead he lectures in the form of a constellation of smaller ideas and discourses which are only somewhat related to each other and not necessarily relevant to the overall topic at hand.
