I had Dotolo for many classes, he is a great guy. His essay prompts are a little unclear- but go to him and hell work with you until you understand. Take an upper level history course with him- hes extremely passionate about the subject and will go off on tangents that are quite entertaining.

This prof. took a while to figure out how to do well. The essays it seemed were graded more on English and grammar than content and that made my grades suffer in the beginning. It's hard to take notes too but at the end after getting used it all, it was a fun class with a fun professor.

One of the worst teachers I have had in my life assignes a lot of busy work with no benefits pretty sure he does not even read the papers we give him when I confrenced with him he told me to add things onto the paper that were already there and once said you can not base an argument on facts

Dr. Dotolo is a great man. He's funny and knows a lot about history. But if you do not like history, do not make the mistake I did by taking his LC. You have to read A LOT and write A LOT. The lectures are boring too. He puts an outline of the material on the overhead, and talks non stop with occasional jokes. However, I did learn a lot.

This class was super easy. Dotolo is a very easy going professor that kinda makes up assignments as he went and graded ridiculously easily. He is big on geography and map quizzes but they are easy to study for sincehe tells you most of whats on them and his journal entries which require the book can't be wrong you just have to do them.

European History with this guy was fun. He loves to rant and makes you laugh. He's conservative & doesn't hide it. The journal entries he made us do every week got tedious. It was just busywork. We did a couple easy papers & read a couple books. Reading textbook helps but not necessary. Final exam was a breeze 'cause he tells you what's on it.

Loved this guy, can't say enough good things about him. He's amusingly sarcastic, knowledgeable beyond all reason, AND easy to look at (what more could you want?). Know that if you pretend to have a clue & don't, he's probably going to realize it. He grades hard but fairly, so just exert the effort. I might go back to college just for more Dotolo.

I have taken 3 different Night Classes with Dotolo and honestly he can be very entertaining. He swears and gets distracted but he is very knowledgeable and when he gets going he doesn't stop. He is a reasonable grader and if you put the work in you'll get a good grade.

Not a good teacher at all riduculus tests were you wirte 2 essays in an hour. Class was boring, grades extremely hard, has summeries due almost every day, and didn't care how students did. I was thinking of being a history major before I took this class now I'll never take a history class again.

Great professor. Knows his stuff and I understand what he's saying. I definately like that he is an ex-marine and a hard-core conservative. You don't find many of those on college campuses.

Dotolo is a good professor and knows what he's talking about, but he's the biggest psycho-conservative I've ever met (in other words, Democrats and liberals beware). On a good note, he's a nice guy, easy to get along with, and is very helpful.

Quite possibly the hardest grader on papers I've ever had. Tough lectures - LOTS of notes. Knowledgible, but sometimes esoteric. If he falls behind in the semester watch out, he'll make it all up in one marathon blast.

Positives: Interesting information. Negatives: Midterm multiple choice is tough, some lengthy readings (100+ pages for next class), A LOT of notes. About his course (10 = important, 1 = not): Readings: 8.5,Listening: 10,Participation: 7. Pretty tough course, but not impossible to get an A. A lot of reading is expected. Two 2-page reflection essays.
