If you're lucky enough to take his class before he retires, then you're in for a treat. FJ is a passionate ASL teacher and is down right hilarious. It was always a joy going to his class and I really can't recommend him highly enough.

He does NOT favor anyone!! He respects people who have something to contribute to the class and who show up every day. It has nothing to do with gender or race, and anyone making that claim might have some issues of their own to work through regarding those two areas.

AWESOME!!! Easy? yeah, but still educational! Freeman is an amzing teacher. He mad learning ASL fun and interesting. Classes are filled with fun games and educational assignments! GREAT TEACHER, GREAT CLASS! If you can, avoid Kimela in the ASL department, TRUST ME!

"He was far too easy"??? OOOOH, OOOOH, Mrs. Carter, you forgot to give us our homework!!! For those of us who struggled with secondary language aquisition, Freeman was a Godsend. He doesn't believe that learning has to be painful to be effective. Wish the rest of that department was more like him.

He was far too easy. He voiced too much and relied on visuals to get his point across (ie overhead). He also fingerspelled too slowly allowing his students to read each letter as opposed to the whole word. However he was fun and entertaining, interesting, helpful and nice! I loveth Freedman!

It's hard to describe the bond our class developed with him- we had him for four consecutive courses (ASL 1,2,3,4), and he was almost like a father figure to us. Just a great guy; really cares about students.

Freeman's antics make me laugh. He really spends the time to listen to students' (sometimes) stupid questions or comments. He would elaborate to make the questions or comments better. I wish he could teach ALL of the classes that I am taking...

Freeman is the best teacher I've ever had....PERIOD. He makes ASL so much fun. I used to hate having to take a secondary language before I had Freeman as a teacher- Now I wish that there was a level higher than ASL 4 and that he was teaching it.
