he taught the plant stuff for bio101. It's hard to adjust to his teaching style after 1 month with martin bc he's rele disorganized and his slides confuse me. well u won't hafta worry about him cuz he's retiring this yr. he's not accessible either (no office hours). i liked martin better. his questions were hard.

He is nice, he lets us out of class 20 minutes early which is always great. Although he says that he doesnt own a textbook follow it..in biology your textbook is your savior. this past test douglass was easier then busch because martin seen our exam and said that it was to easy and added retarded questions about corn and potatoe eyes on it.

don't get me wrong, this guy is a great guy and all..he let us out 20 minutes early most days..but he really zipped thru lectures and didn't explain much. While Martin's exam was a bit more difficult I felt that I actually learned from her, more so than from French.

I really didn't like this guy. He seems like a nice guy and all, but he just flew through the lectures without explaining things very well. Maybe I was too used to Martin, I got an A on her exam and a C+ on his with the same amount of effort. Plants suck and he really didn't help.

No textbooks, just ppt slides. Six 30 question quizes and that's about it. French is rather comical. Show up for class and you'll be entertained. But you don't have to show up for class to do well. I didn't show up for half the semester and still got an A! Take this course to count for one of your science requirements... and to raise your GPA!

Awesome lecturer, much better than martin. Lots of pictures to go along with the slides, he goes through some quickly, but if he does it isnt important. Tells you everything you need to know, so if you go to lecture you dont have to read the book.

this guy is awesome! he is very helpful which makes up for his somewhat scatter-brained lectures. it is an easy A if u go to class and take notes but be warned he moves quickly. i did really well by making a friend and comparing notes to make sure we got everything he said down. smart and fun, a class well worth while as elective
