Worst professor i have ever had. Studied my butt off for all her exams and only ended up with a D+. She doesnt know how to teach. All she does is give worksheets out and then do problems on the board. I learned absolutely nothing!

I came to St. John's as a Math Major. I had already taken Calc, but didn't get credit because I got a 4 on the AP exam (need a 5). I though this class would be a breeze. I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO CONFUSED IN MY LIFE! Professor Barz complicates everything and is very unclear. I now hate math (which I used to love) and have to change my major.

okay so ive read all of these comments and i was hesitate when i found out i got this teacher but i took it anyway and let me tell u she is the worst teacher ever. She is a kind old women but she moves way to fast that its hard to catch on. She gives 4 tests including the midterm and final. each test is extremely difficult. DO NOT TAKE HER.

If you want to struggle with math go ahead and take her!!!! Her tests are evil, they do not match up with the notes in class or textbook. The only good thing is that shes absent alot. If you can you should not take her or else you are setting yourself up for failure. RUNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NEEDS to Retire!!!!!!!

it is a hard class. u need to give lot of time for the homeworks which she collects and probabaly grades. But she is helpful and when a test comes the homeworks really help. people like me dont do work unless they have to, and homeworks are good ways to make us work.

Don't take her if you could! She goes so fast and finished the whole textbook in a semester. She gives soooo much hw and almost never goes over it, but does collect it. Almost half of the class withdrew after second test.

Do not believe any nice comments people have toward this woman. She is mean, unwilling to help, makes easy aspects of math hard and is an impossible grader. I never have gotten lower than an A in any math class, ever in my life, until this class. She gives tests on things never mentionioned in class. DO NOT TAKE ANY OF HER CLASSES! I warn you now.

Horrible teacher, goes too quick with her lessons, and impossible to follow if this is your first time taking stat. She goes through at least 3x the number of formulas other teachers gives and doesn't bother to explain them. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. Even tests are vague, does not even tell you what it is looking for.

At first, you will probably think that her class is impossible. If you stick with it and put the work in, you WILL come out with a decent grade. Even if you fail a test you could still come out with a B. She is VERY hard to get in touch with outside of class. She does not do enough in class, so be prepared to teach most of the course to yourself.
