Comment:

Clear and concise. Tests are exactly like the in class work. Only 100 pts in the whole semester so you have to be careful not to miss many, but she isn't out to trick you. She teaches exactly what she expects you to know. Her notes are in handout packets and are extremely helpful and well organized. Wish I had the opportunity to take her again!

I had her for Dec Tech and shes the worst teacher I have ever had. She has a horrible grading scale. The entire class is out of 100 points so theres no way to improve your grade. You miss a point on a test/quiz and you drop a percentage point. She is very unwilling to help a student raise their grade because "that's just how the grading scale is".

Really like that she gives you all the notes, saves time. She explains things well and is helpfull during class. Tests are only 12 questions, so you can't miss many but they aren't that hard. She has a fun sense of humor and loves dogs. I would take one of her classes again.

Class was o.k. and got a B, but by the end of the semester I was pretty tired of feeling like I was back in 3rd grade. She talks to you like a kid and in a smaller class setting showed no interest in individual students as I don't believe she knew anyones name by the end of the semester. Practice exams resemble tests so study and you will do fine.

She is just BRILLIANT!!! I like the way she explains the tiny little bits of econ to non-majors, and I think she is the one everyone should take at least once!!! She is just the best etacher.. and notes are everything. You miss a class and you lost a link in the chain.. you should attend her class! It's very interesting!!!!

easy teacher. just go over the practice quizes and study those. the tests are almost exactly what she gives you for examples or on the quizes. Hardly any homework. Good teacher to take for at least a B grade.

I really liked Miss Furhman and thought she did an excellent job explaining the material--the class is pretty boring, but she tries to spruce it up sometimes. Very helpful if you go to her office hours...also, you dont use the book very much-try borrowing/sharing or going without because she gives you notepackets...DO TAKE WITH HER!

Hard class if you haven't had algebra in a while. She says her doors are open, but gets real irritated if you interrupt her during her open door policy??? Crazy about her dogs? Laughs a lot in class, but not the same personality one on one.

one of the best professors ive had at UNI. she is awesome, crazy likes to talk about her dogs, but she explains everything so well. gives practice quizes, which are just like the test. 6 test worth 11 pts and a 39 pt final. way fun class, go to class!!! Highly reccommend, don't take mardis!

Great Teacher, crazy tweaker but knows her stuff and really makes sure u understand the material. Do the study guides and practice quizes whcih are the exact same as the test and you will get a A or B easily
