Comment:

G is a gem! She is caring and wants students to succeed. The Abused discusses difficult topics so be prepared for some self-care. She provides reviews for both the lecture and the reading, so team up with a classmate to split the work. Three exams and a final paper. Curves test grades. Will provide extra credit if you ask for it.

Comment:

3 tests and 1 paper for the entire semester doesn't sound bad, BUT read your book! She genuinely wants you to know this subject & care about it, so her tests don't acutely align with her study guides or chapter handouts, you'll just have to have read & studied...& prayed. Loved the class, she's really good at breaking down stuff so you understand.

There were only 3 tests and one paper that have grades for the class. She gives text study guides and lecture study guides before the exam. The paper she gives you the full semester to work on and has clear list of what she wants to see from the students. She also does give a curve on the tests but you can't miss class if you want to get the curve

I loved G! Took her Abused class & begged her to teach more classes (this is the only class she teaches). Lectures were so interesting & fun. Her experiences and stories were amazing. Yes, tests were hard & she admits that. But I managed to get 1 B & the rest C's on her tests & passed the class with an A. There's a paper as well.

G was, hands down, one of the most intelligent, compassionate, amazing people I've ever met. She is an expert in her field and an all-around kind, warm, personable, loving person. It was a privilege to be in her class.

I LOVED this class! and I love G! She is a wealth of knowledge and she wants you to learn everything she can possibly teach you. That said, take good notes and don't miss class. I don't know why you'd ever want to miss her class anyway, it is incredible! Tests are difficult but take good notes and use your study guides, you'll be just fine!

She is the sweetest lady. I want her to be my therapist! She is so knowledgable and is passionate about her work. She knows so much about the human brain! A few tests and one long paper is required, thats it. Take good notes. No attendance taken. She is a must take prof. She holds you in class for the whole class period, though!

Excellent professor. Leaving at the end of this semester. I'm very sad about this. The school is losing one of the best. She's a great woman. I'll miss her, her dogs and her husband. I feel like they are a part of the class! Good luck and God Bless G! You are loved!!!!!!!!

Beautiful person and an awesome professor. Tests consist of 1/2 lecture and 1/2 book, so show up to class. Write down everything you possibly can that she says. Tests are a little tough, but she's so smart, I think the tests are as easy as she can make them. Very knowledgable in the areas of substance abuse and trama. Any major should take her

Super smart, she really knows her stuff, her class is no joke, but it is very intresting, and will be helpful if you are a soc, psych, sas, or even cj major. she covers stuff everyone in these types of feilds may encounter at some point.
