Gail is a very nice teacher...and HOT to boot. She gives a lot of examples and tries to clarify things many times ie. "does this vaguely make any sense?." She is quite funny sometimes and a little scatterbrained. One of the easiest professors ever she marks very easy. Take home midterm and final.

Very nice, makes every effort to make points clear in class. "Does this sound familiar?" - hehe. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for all, especially first year students - makes class not seem so intimidating. Very generous marker. Take home midterms, final. One in-class seminar - wasn't too hard.

Lectures were read directly from text. No need to go to class. Assignments are easy enough to complete the night before and still get a decent mark. Take a class with her.

Taking the condensed history during the summer semester is highly recommended. Sure it moves quickly, but the course load is low. Attend class, listen intently for understanding and refer to the text for the papers and you'll do fine. The papers are based on in-class information only so no extra research necessary. Watch the films and enjoy.

Boring class, she is a little scatter-brained. She has a unique way of teaching history tho, no tests just all papers, no final or mid-term just more papers. Always helpful for class or other probs,I just didn't find the way she taught very interesting which is hard for me cuz I love history. She is very... forgiving on handing assignments in late!

The most boring class I have ever had, I don't know what is so great about her. All I heard was a lot of uhm, humming like medating? Why does she not teach a yoga class? I think she will be better for that than History!

It was a lot of seeing what you know from the course and not much research, which is good. She gives very interesting topics for essays and gives you a lot of time to do them. She loves showing "Canada: A People's History."
