U will not get anything out of this class. She does not talk about the subject matter at all (more about current events). STUDY THE BOOK or you will fail (once again she does not teach it). Trying to reach her after class is nearly impossible and she will constantly reschedule u. Learned more from fellow students than her. She will judge ur answer

A very "going through the motions" low effort professor. Just does a handful of papers, busy work in-class material, and a group assignment. Overall disorganized and doesn't do so much. You could save time, money, and learn more if you just binged a handful of Netflix docs and read a couple books on White Privilege. Pointless.

I did not like her and she is not really nice either. She can be kind of sarcastic that some students did not want to raise their hand again. Plus, she NEVER talked out anything regarding the class - she talks about everything else BUT the class, so be ready to read. She is all over the place.

This professor's lectures were somewhat unorganized and tests were based off of the readings. I was able to pass only because she dropped the lowest score. But she provides a study guide that were very helpful on tests.

Don't expect to learn much in class- though she will answer questions if you ask. She started the semester by not showing up and not letting us know, and seemed to struggle being on time/coming from that point. Its an easy A if you read the textbook, she will drop the lowest exam. Kinda a waste of time but at least grading is forgiving.

Livings Soc 4 class was the hardest class I have ever had to take in my academic career. It was disorganized, we had no logical lectures and unfortunately the exams were absolutely practical based so we had to teach ourselves everything. I feel incredible to have walked out of that class with a decent grade because it was just absurd.

Took online class. She didn't have class set up the first week. There's no communication unless you initiate. Expect heavy reading. Tests are about practical application. You have various correct answers but you have to pick the BEST answer. This class was the worst I've ever taken. I took this for fun. I have a BA and 3 Masters. Never again.

do not take this!! i am an A student and struggled in this class, as you are only graded on two tests and 3 quizzes. the lectures are only her giving an opinion and the book barely helps. highly recommend taking another professor

She rarely lectures about anything that will be on the test. We have to learn everything on our own.

Her online class was awful. She is not involved at all and when you email for questions, it takes a day to respond and you get a vague response. Would highly not recommend her.

Her lectures get off track sometimes but I enjoyed her class discussions. Exams are off the textbook, lecture notes, and slides. READ THE TEXTBOOK. It helps a lot. Attendance is tedious but it does help you know what's going on in the class.

Her online classes are pretty easy if you read through all the material she provides and do ALL quizzes and exams. If you have any questions and email her, she only gives vague unclear answers.

Very unorganized and exams are pretty much out of the text book. She spends almost all class session taking about personal experiences and teaches straight out of the textbook and the textbook supplement online quizzes and PowerPoints.

Livings is disorganized and unapologetically liberal. Lectures are all over the place, she does not honor office hrs. Exams are almost entirely on textbook. She drops lowest exam and offers several extra opportunities. Despite her flaws, she is extremely intelligent and encourages critical thinking, I'd retake immediately.

Terrible teacher. Took this class online and did completely awful due to how terrible the exams are. Not only do they not make sense, they are worded extremely difficult. Her lectures don't make sense, she does not offer any help. Plus, she won't assign extra credit to help you. Do not take her unless you don't mind failing.

She's not a good teacher, but if you show up to class, do the work she assigns in class (to obviously avoid teaching) I think she boosts your grade, which is good, because I wasn't doing well on the tests (I had to teach it all to myself from the book) but wound up with a B. She probably has tenure so doesn't work hard to be a good teacher. Whatevr

Take another professor if you are taking online. I am an A student and this was one of the most intensive reading classes I have ever taken. Quizzes and test questions are very difficult and she tests on things that you didn't read in the book or lectures. She is disorganized. Stay away.

I would try to find another soc professor before taking her. Her lectures have nothing to do with the tests. You have to really just read the book and study it to pass the tests. The class involves a lot of group work. Every other week there is a video quiz and an exam. Video quizzes are super easy though and she usually cancels them.
