If your intentions are to learn accounting principals, do not take her course. Find another professor. The material itself is simple, but instructed in from the most ineffective manner which prior to the class I believed was impossible. Greatest part of this class was leaving.

Terrible professor. she's all over the place and has no idea what she is doing. Felt more like a middle school math class than a level 200 college course. if you can get out of the class, its much suggested!

NEVER TAKE HER! Its as simple as that. If you want to learn accounting, don't bother with this professor. She knows her stuff, but doesn't teach it in way that is understandable. I had to teach myself the material. Very, Very, VERY disorganized. I REPEAT: NEVER TAKE HER!!! Save yourself the headache.

She's a good teacher. She tries hard to help students learn the subject, and she is a fair grader. There's plenty of opportunities to raise your grade if you're not doing well. Lots of HW, lots of quizzes. Midterms and finals have very thorough reviews. Being absent affects your grade. Otherwise it's a pretty easy class if you pay attention.

I have to agree that she was very disorganized. However, you know that she was very into the subject and loves her job. Homework Manager and the Online Quizzes were very confusing at the beginning, but became clearer as time went on. I liked her 'tough guy' approach. Somewhat disorganized, but other than that, a great professor.

doesnt even grade anything...her assitant does it all...says she will do something and never does...too bad because acct 201 is a very important class and this definitly did not help...and im not one of those people who was a class clown/trouble make/slacker...i was valedictorian in high school

Gail is the best teacher I have ever had. Not only she teaches the material, but she helps you and guide you step by step. She loves accounting, so if you really have the passion for this subject you will understand why she wants that much from students. We learn accounting by doing, not by reading. I would HIGHLY recommend her.

Gail is freaking amazing. Yea, she's a lil disorganized; she forgets to hand back assignments and sometimes short of worksheets, but that's nothing major. The point is that gail gets the job done. She teaches us step by step and she will answer your questions clearly, unlike all these foreign professors that we have, who cant explain crap! (ugh)

I would not recommend Gail. The class material is not that difficult, however her teaching style is not very effective. She does not seem to work very hard, apparently her assistant does all her work but even then assignments often take weeks to be returned. Homework is time consuming and worth a lot of points, but doesnt really help with materia

Not such a great teacher, she knows how to do it but her way of relating it to the class is horrible.. she is a nice woman but a bad bad professor, she doesn't go over the book and you just copy slides down.. I have learned nothing all year

Please...do not take her if you have the choice. You WILL regret it. I would go into the class each day having a good grasp on the subject and I would leave thoroughly confused. She loses stuff easily and is very unorganized. She passes out slides that she takes directly from the book's website. I dont think she does much to prepare at all. /cry

I took her in the early 90's. She was horrible. She only cared about the students in Beta Alpha Psi and could care less about everyone else. She had her favorites and it showed. Exams were brutal...I'll never forget her because she was impossible and at times very unfair.

Over half of our work wasn't handed back. Tests were inconsistent in difficulty. Assignments not properly weighted. Teacher evaluations were never handed out. Did not follow sylubus. Inconsistent. Thought she was always right and consequently did not respect student input or understand student questions. 3rd worst teach I have had @ suffolk.

She's the worst accounting professor ever. Unorganized, not clear, unhelpful. She tries to help but you'll end up learning more yourself by reading the book...her quizzes are stupid...MC, and it doesn't really even quiz you on numbers. It's all word problems and general questions. DO NOT TAKE HER

She's a very disorganized person. Seems like she doesn't know much about what she's talking about. She very nice tho..her quizzes are multiple choice, which is not good for acct and midterm n final are easy-hard. I didn't really learn anything from her that i couldn't learn from the book.
