Really great professor. Managed to get me fairly interested in his courses despite my general disdain for physics. He gives homework nearly every lecture, but it's rarely more than 5 problems. He is very rewarding to those who visit him during office hours or ask him questions on review days. Also has a radio voice.

Duree is the best professor I've had. His lectures are understandable and he prepares you for exams, but what stands out about him is how much he cares about his students. Take his class, you won't regret it!

Dr. Duree is the best. He's one of the few teachers I've ever had who understand the point of education, that school shouldn't be just about getting a certain grade by any means necessary. He wants you to learn the material. That being said, he will be very flexible and extend deadlines as far as he can if you need extra time to understand.

Tests are fairly difficult (nothing horrible), but there is TONS of extra credit to be had from knowing some of the weird little asides that he talks about. He also lets you drop your lowest test grade. Dr. Duree also takes a TON of time in lectures to go over fundamental ideas (get ready to hear Fma repeated over and over again).

Best teacher at Rose-Hulman. Truly cares about the students and their success. Put forth effort and show that you care--you will be rewarded. Do anything in your power to get Duree as your physics professor and you will not regret it. Tests are somewhat difficult but he grades pretty easy. Like I said, show initiative, ask questions.

Duree is an amazing professor. He explains everything very clearly and I highly recommend him. He lets you choose whether you want to use mastering physics or just do homework by hand. He is extremely lenient with partial credit.

Awesome professor. His tests are old final exam problems, and examples he has shown in class. Gives full credit for just showing how you would calculate answers, not punching numbers into calculator. With that being said, write down your units! Explains concepts well, will take for 112,113. Oh BTW, dont take for lab...doesn't follow manual.

Best Professor at Rose-Hulman hands down. I had him for Physics 1, 2, and 3 and he was awesome. Along with being extremely helpful, his tests aren't anything he doesn't prepare you for. He knows me by name and asks how things are going on a daily basis. TAKE IF YOU HAVE THE CHANCE!!!!!

Duree gives very clear notes and teaches slowly enough that you can take time to understand the information and still take notes. He also teaches every small detail, assuming you have no prior knowledge in the subject. He also loves to give partial credit for problems and is available and willing to help outside class. I HIGHLY recommend him.

He doesn't follow the manual so write everything down and visit his website link. Ask questions in lab if you have the slightest inkling of something he forgot to tell you to include. He's one of the profs that you have to go above and beyond to get the A. Hard grader.
