This guy is awesome. He will tear up your writing and forget your name because he is senial, but it doesn't matter. Once brought grog to class. Also he swears like a pirate.

Haldeman is hands down the worst professor I've had at MIT. The 'if he likes you' comment is spot on; unfortunately, he doesn't seem to like very many people, and he makes everyone else's life a living hell. He spends most of the class namedropping writers who are more famous than he is.
