I was his student in 1990. He changed the way I used to look at things. His teaching style was unique and very absorbing since he could talk about anything on earth. I am glad that I was able to be part of his academic sphere.

When I took Gamal, I resisted his ideas. I didn't believe his teaching had any practical use in the real world. Now as a graduate, I look back and realize that his ideas are more powerful than ever.

Hardest course i have ever engaged in. He will change your world, elevate you as a human being and make sure you accomplish your dreams and have no body stand in your way. Gamal El Zoghby is without a doubt the best professor at Pratt institute and probably the most creative man i have ever met. Thank you Gamal, for everything.

Gamal was the most difficult professor I have ever taken. But because of it, I became a much better student. I can honestly say he opened my eyes to seeing architecture in different light. As challenging as he is, he was the best prof I had at Pratt.

His hardness makes him who he is and the his arrogance makes him respected. He will teach you things about yourself and force questioning upon everything that surrounds you. You will be lost and then you will be on a mission. An amazing experience it was.

Gamal is a fantastic Professor who encourages students to escape previously held notions of design, and enforces a rational and analytical approach to design. His particular approach is borderline abusive, but whether or not he breaks you - all he encourages a higher level of conceptualization from his students.

HE is a very dificult teacher. But I learned alot form him. You cannot sail through this one only take this class if you want to be pushed. If you are looking for an easy A go to another school or taker the labels or somthing. Gamal is un-reasonable but predictable. The faint of hart may even cry... but that gets you to think more than ever.

be prepared to put every ounce of time and commitment to this class. a good artistic background is extremely helpful. he's scary though; very intimidating and critical of everything you do but never means it personally. he's never very clear. he's a modern howard rourke. in retrospect it's good to take him but during the semester it's hell

Gamal teaches his own brand of philosophy in this class. If you already have good critical skills, you don't need his. If you want to learn how to make people feel bad and feel uncomfortable for others, try it. But, thats a poor teaching technique.

Really obscure, and a self-proclamed prophet. Try not to become brainwashed, yet have fun with his principles. He has a SICK formal sense. Don't wear anything ethnic, or with a logo, unless you want to cry.
