I don't really know anything about Professor Elnagar, he didn't post a single update on blackboard the entire semester, and the due dates of quizzes didn't match the one on the syllabus. Besides that though, his lectures and powerpoints are very helpful and understandable. There were quizzes every week with 1-3 questions, 2 midterms, and a final.

Name calling, brow beating, and berating students for an incorrect answer is a common occurrence. I see some other commenters see this as a sense of humor. It is not. He will laugh at you and I suppose you can laugh along but I do not find this funny or conducive to learning.

Study the homework problems. Tests are from the homework! He is very helpful and will slow down if you need him to. On test review days, only go to class if you have questions. If you do not have questions, you will only be in class for ten minutes tops. The final exam grade replaces any low test grade from earlier in the semester.

Gigi was a very cool professor. After not being in school for almost 20 yrs, and jumping right into Pre-Cal, this class was not that hard. You do have to work for it though. He gives homework and expects it done. The tests come from homework, but the numbers are changed. Very informative and helpful.

If you are not good in math prior to this class, I can almost guarantee that you will walk out knowing less than before. He moves at a very fast pace and forgets important details. Only thing that is graded is his tests, and in some instances, material on the test won't be covered in class. Good luck.

Had him before and thought he was good. Wrong. That was because I already knew it all. Learning with him for the first time, he isn't good at explaining. He goes fast and skips steps. Not a good teacher. He's harsh and rude to students. However, test questions come from homework so make sure to do all HW and go to math lab and you should be ok.

I think that if i was not already good at math i would be lost in this class. He tends to skip steps when explaining problems. I think he honestly just wants to get a pay check and to pass everyone so he looks good. Over all it is a pretty easy class. Tests are straight from the homework "You follow I say?"

SO SO SO EASYGOING. Lectures are fun, especially in the morning after his 12 cups of coffee. Tests are from the homework, the final exam is the tests stapled together. He loves to help out, and calls you out if you're wrong, but in a nice way. Catch phrase: "You follow what I'm saying? Eh?"

If you're not a math major, Gamal is an easy professor for you. His class doesn't require much effort. The hw problems he assigns are reasonable & the tests come from the hw problems. No quizzes, just 2 tests & final. The first test we took, he let us redo missed problems for credit. At 8 am, he's usually jacked up on coffee & can get loud.

Took for Pre-calc II...if you put forth some effort on test problems you get credit. Tests are straight from homework problems. Gives good explanations but math is just not my forte. Felt somewhat cheated b/c I knew that I was not getting a fair grade, I didn't get the test questions but still gained credit. Not complaining of course just sharing!

Dr. Elnagar makes calculus I very easy, if you can't make an A in this class then you are either lazy or stupid. The test are exactly like the homework. No applied problems just easy as crap problems, that he goes over in class like 10 times. Very Funny Guy!!!

The only good thing about this class is that the homework problems are the test. This man is rude, very loud, and mean. We were afraid to ask him questions because he would make you feel ashamed! The "You Understand" really is annoying and what makes it worse is that you never know if he is going to pick you out.
