His tests can be a little hard but he lets you bring all the worksheets he hands out in class and your own hand written sheet. He gives out a lot of extra credit. His wizardry is what makes his lectures fun. Quizzes are easy if you have a good TA.

He is one of the most dedicated professors at this university. He is a chemistry expert who knows how to simplify difficult concepts and does a lot of interesting experiments. Class is really fast paced. Ask him and your TA for help. Practice quizzestests were very helpful. I am amazed at how much I learned! Take this class if you can!

G Wiz knows his stuff. He does amazing things in lecture related to chemistry. I have never had a grasp on it but his class helped me understand it more than I ever have. You get notes for every test and quiz, if you just try a bit you will do well in this class!

such an awesome teacher. he may be old, but he sure loves every student like his class was only 30. always willing to help you through anything, even if that means making up a test or asking for extra credit. he wants to see every student get an A. everybody respects him as such a great person.

G-Wiz is charismatic and a great teacher. My complaint, however, is that it is so easy to get an A in the class (I ended up with a 120%), that there isn't great motivation to learn the material and students are shocked and unprepared when they enter organic chemistry which is a better representation of the difficulty of college science courses.

This teacher is a lovely person, but unfortunately he is NOT a film teacher. He is a science teacher who teaches a film class... He doesn't know basic film terms and asks his students for help. Moreover, he uses Wikipedia. I never take notes since I don't trust what he says. Sad...

G. Wiz was made to be a professor. All of the professors on the U of M campus could use a few lessons from him! Enthusiastic, a seasoned professional, involved in the community and academic community, hilarious, clever...Couldn't ask for more! Even if you're bad at chem, G. Great teacher. He loves what he does and tries to share that with his students. He performs several experiments throughout the semester (which are fun). He offers lots of extra credit opportunities as well. Every Friday he gives out practice quizzes/exams, so it's worth it to go that day. He also drops the lowest quiz and test. Worth it!

Great teacher. The lecture class can be kind of boring especially if you understand chemistry really well. It's not hard to get a good great. The quizzes and testes are relatively easy. G.Wiz is a wonderful professor! He makes Chemistry really easy to learn and understand. He gives loads of examples to help clarify the lecture. He also lets you use cheat sheets on the tests! He is my favorite professor by far.
