I took Dr Barber's class twice and it was my best graduate experience ever. He knows his stuff. Just make you know your stuff too. Extremely easy to interact with, ready to assist students and always work with students to be their best.

His lectures tell you everything you need to know for exams, which are pretty straightforward. Homework and labs can be a little disorganized depending on the TA, and sometimes the hw is not relevant to class/exam material. Overall a nice guy, a good professor, and an easy class.

Barber is strange. If you get past that you will be fine. His teaching isn't the best but not the worst either. Doesn't get too serious and the class is pretty laid back, but PAY ATTENTION. Notes are eh but sometimes useful. Had the worst TA

Dr. Barber knows the material inside out. His lectures are very clear and help to decode the vast amount of information in the book. Tests are pretty easy and he gives partial credit away like candy. Lab reports are a breeze and are probably graded easier than any other engineering class I've had.

What a breeze! Though he's not very prompt with returning homeworks/exams, he's quite the easy professor. As long as you know the material (which is not that difficult in and of itself), you're good to go.
