Put your heart on a piece of paper and you get an A. Listen in class, take good notes and participate and you will get a decent grade on the exams. If you want to slack off and skip class, make sure its a Friday. We never had a full class on a Friday any week

Classes are mainly based on participation. He usually assigns One 4 to 6 page paper double spaced. His test questions are directly from the study guide. 20% of the grade is participation. He is one of the few teachers who cares if the students pass so if you are not doing well talk to him. All readings are disused in class.

GB is, in my opinion, a very poor professor. If you want an "A" for doing nothing, take this guy. If you want to learn something, stay away. MSOE has some very good HU professors. GB is not one of them.

GB is great, very passionate and personable guy, I recommend spending a few minutes getting to know him. If you actually open up and put your heart behind what you write you will enjoy the class, otherwise it will get annoying really quickly. You can learn a lot from him, not text book knowledge, but the things you can't just derive equations for.

I loved him for Existentialism. This topic is his world, and classes are very fun because of that. He genuinely cares about this students and class discussions are a lot of fun. If you participate and actually do the reading, you will do fine in the class. I really can't say enough good things about him. This isn't calc, don't expect it to be.

In 10 weeks, I took only 2 pages of notes, while attending every class, even though only the last ten minutes of class are relevant to anything. I ended up with a C, but on the bright side, we got to watch three movies!!...Basically, only take him if you are a senior who just needs to pass. Because you probably won't get an A.

Literally the worst teacher I've ever had. The only kinds of students that like him are those that are gullible enough to buy into his wannabe hippy mentality. He just only teaches to live vicariously through his students and his not even slightly helpful unless you suck up to him on a daily basis.

Known him for six years. Yeah different teaching style. Yeah CARES about students. Fair grader if you express yourself honestly. As for "suck-up" factor...not true. You NEED to participate in the classes...they are HUMANITIES, the softer side to MSOE you rarely see. Relate the material to what he's saying, add your input = great grade.

GB knows what he's talking about . The only difficult thing sometimes is following where he's going with something, but he's always willing to help if you're having trouble. Make sure you take notes on everything he says and study that for the exams.
