I tried to take this class online over the summer (CISA 305). I do not advise this. I had to drop out. The amount of work required in SIMnet in a four-week course is unreal if you have other time-consuming classes. I can't really comment on the professor's demeanor but the amount of work is too much for a four-week course.

Professor Cotton is AMAZING!! one of the best professors I've had. The class is clear cut and he has no problem helping you out when you ask. As long as you follow along with simnet you will do well.

if you ask him to clarify something, he will just tell you to refer to the syllabus, even when the syllabus doesn't say anything about it, or something is not working properly when it should be (like being able to ask your classmates a question). I definitely would choose another professor over this one.

I Love this teacher! He was super helpful. He's a great help over the phone and by email. He's positive, patient and encouraging. You can tell he cares about his students! I would highly recommend him! Buy the book and do your homework and you will get an A.

Easy class and he is very "student friendly" meaning he believes in putting students first. The quizzes pretty much came from the book and were easy. Assignments were also self explanatory and came from the book. The biggest problem is it takes him awhile to respond to emails, otherwise very friendly and considerate instructor.

He constantly talks about his graduate students doing all this complex stuff and he can?t even figure out how to work things in the application systems he?s supposed to be teaching? is conveniently written or ?compiled? by him so it can?t be purchased online, only at the bookstore at an outrageous price (with kickbacks of course). Other grammar, placement and spelling errors it?s ok. I?m not trying to put him down but if you?re going to teach beginners be modest don?t praise yourself while your teaching.

Very, Very good teacher. Wants the best for everybody. Open book mid term and final. Easy class but u actually learn cuz he makes sure of it. Highly recommend taking this teacher.

Easy got an A. In fact at beganing of semester, he said that all would probaly get an A. Also, at the begaining of the course I knew nothing about the computer; now people are always asking me questions. So If you feel you know nothing about the computer and really want to learn, here you go

GOOD TEACHER!!! He knows how to teach people and treat people. He is by the far-most greatest teacher here.. Anyone that is taking CIS classes take him for them if you can.
