A fantastic professor, he really cares about you understanding the material. He goes over what you need for the quizzes and the final. Really easy if you show up and pay attention to review days. Homework is based on completion. Also, if more than half the class skipped, he gave us a quiz worth of extra credit for showing up.

Comment:

Professor Crook is the BEST professor to take for Finite Mathematics. His homework is graded on completion and he goes over it all in class. There are quizzes every couple weeks, but he tells you exactly what will be on each of them. If you show up, turn in homework and pay attention, you will likely get an A. He is also super sweet and caring.

The tests are really hard but he is there to help you during office hours or before class/after class. He is a very nice man and very helpful when you have questions. The homework is always collected and he counts attendance but you get to chose how much of the homework you do and it is not graded for accuracy.

Professor Crook is a brilliant teacher that really knows what he is doing even if sometimes he makes simple mistakes. He is so adorable and will help you with anything you need. People fight to get into his class! You want his class! I really wanted to get into his class so I simply emailed him requesting to be in his class and he made it happen!

He made Math the highlight of my day!! people were fighting to get into his MTH141 class. IF YOU CAN TAKE HIM DO IT! You wont regret it! He went over all the material until it was second nature and if you had any questions he would help you until you understood the material. And he doesn't grade homework, if you turn it in you get the points.

Hottest man alive, easily. He is the guy from Up, literally. And on a serious note his tests are literally the easiest tests ever, just do the study guide and you'll do great. He goes over hw in class and we typically do 90% of the assignment. great guy.

In my first semester, I dont really like a lot of teachers but except to Prof Crook. He is an awesome guy and he is always willing to help students to go over the problems in hw. Tests are easy as long as you study the review sheet because the review and tests are almost identical. He is by far the greatest teacher in UP. He ROCKS!

Great teacher! teaches very well. Goes over the homework until no one else has any questions. tells you exactly whats going to be on the quizes!!! and study guides is also exactly like the tests!!! Coming from a guy who dropped calc in high school and dropped it the first time i tried taking it, i ended up with an A in his class!

My senior math teacher was horrible and I was worried going into math but Crook changed that! He is such a great teacher. He goes over the homework problems and goes step by step in solving them. He is a fair grader and he really cares about students. Strongly urge students to take Crook for math!

Crook was one of my favorite teachers my first semester at UP. Goes out of his way to see his students succeed. If you don't understand something, JUST ASK! He's great about helping you out.
