Tests are like homework and textbook examples. He has a weird way of grading (z scores, maybe a bell curve?). He has a lot of cool demonstrations in class and uses clicker questions which if you miss add extra HW. He gives off cool vibes and is easy to approach. Always very caring.

I just don't recommend this class if you are not into animation. His online class had quizzes that you could take multiple times to get a good score. The assignments were ridiculous for a GE course. I wasn't expecting it to be a piece of cake but somewhat doable for this course. Also, they grade assignments HARD. they are really nitpicky

Make sure you do the homework in the class thoroughly and this class shouldn't be too hard. All the exams are based off of homework questions.

He is a great professor. His teaching style is very easy to understand and he has a lot of cool demo for the class. He respond to email quickly and he use an online homework system. homework is 25% of the grade, midterm is 50%, and final is 25%. The homework is harder than the midterm and the final. Homework will probably take 3 to 4 hours each wee

Understanding the concepts of physics is much easier than the practice of it. He's a fun professor, interesting demonstrations, pretty easy tests, and would recommend anyone to take him. Just make sure you do the homework assignments (which aren't hard) and you'll do fine.

Dr. Garcia is the BEST. He is putting so much into the class, even spending his own money to be able to demonstrate things clearly. I am agree that he is a teacher that SJSU should be proud of.

This is the kind of professor SJSU should be proud of. All classes interesting and interactive with cool demos and powerpoints (funny how half the school that "empowers Silicon Valley hasn't gone digital yet). Very fair, organized and teaches a well-structured curriculum. If you don't go to class, you're missing out - and stupid!

this guy is cool. i like how he has demos for every class. really helps you understand. kinda easy, but only if you pay attention in class or read. you have to turn in hw and take a quiz every class. but the hw is just a few questions and the quizzes are only 1 question. so you can't really miss a class. well you can miss maybe like 3 since he woul

Wow. He takes what can be an intimidating subject and makes it fun and interesting. One of my favorite classes so far. Lots of cool demos. Powerpoint slides in class are also posted on website for easy test preparation. Funny sense of humor. Highly recommended. I wish all instructors were this good.

His class is so fun! Who would've thought this would be my favorite class (I hate science!) His demos and corky attitude makes class fun to attend. He breaks down the material so that you can understand it. This class is an easy B if you take notes and do your homework.

He will be the reason you will love physics. Unlike a lot pf physics professors, he will keep you awake with awesome demos and exciting lectures. His homework and daily quizes are decent, and his tests are fair. He allows one page double sides notes on his quizes and tests. A very funny and goofy teacher!
