Egan is one of the best professors ive had at mcc. He takes difficult material and makes it so that you understand. He only really assigns about five graded homework sheets the whole semester and they are not very difficult. The tests are not too difficult either, if you show up and understand the most the material youll get an A!

Professor Egan is very nice and wants students to pass. Weekly homework and reviews thoroughly for tests. He offers extra credit for being present and on time to class. Egan gives students time to ask questions at the beginning of every class. Best professor would take another class with him.

I took Egan for MTH098 and again for MTH200. He is a great professor and is very passionate about math. He is willing to help and clarify things. Calc wasn't an easy class but a great professor sure does help!

Egan was a very nice guy and cool person to talk to. He wouldn't give us any graded homework which for some is nice but for me I slacked off so I never learned the material. Oh and he loves index cards!!!

Egan is a great guy. I screwed around in HS and had to take 098 as a pre req. He made me actually understand, and be interested in the applications of math. He uses some great analogies to explain everything. Expects you to show up, and study. but if you do you will have no problem getting an A.

Egan is a great teacher. He is willing to break down any problem for any student, and encourages students to visit him outside of class for extra help. It seems like the problems on the homework and the ones we do in class are more difficult than the test questions, which is nice because he does a good job to prepare his students for anything.

LOVE THIS PROFESSOR. By far my fave. Hated math until I took his class and I am doing great! Homework is not checked or graded (except for one short weekly assignment which he lets us peer correct first) so your grade will not plunge if you miss an assignment here or there. Great teacher great person. Study for your tests and you will do great!

Excellent Professor. Loves his job and loves to help students out. This guy taught me to appreciate math and actually want to learn the material. He makes sure you're well prepared for the next course.

It is obvious that he loves teaching and truly cares about the success of his students. The course may be challenging and he does expect you to put effort in outside of class, but he is willing to meet with you for additional help and clarification. Very fun and entertaining so class time would fly by. Easily my favorite professor!

He is a wonderful guy and an amazing teacher. He's willing to go above and beyond to help, but he expects you to put in the effort and work hard. He's enthusiastic and funny so class flies by. He's not an easy teacher, but he cares about his students, is passionate about teaching and is a genuinely nice guy. Best professor I've ever had.

He is a very good teacher! HOWEVER, he over explains topics. He drags on the topic to make the class time go by. If you are a faster learner this is NOT the class for you.

Great teacher really breaks math down to its simplest form. I haven't done math like this in a few years but he made it easy. Will make sure you are prepared for test and moving on to tougher math courses.

Egan breaks simple math down to very, very basics. If you're someone who struggles with math, his courses are for you. Explains in great detail exactly what you're doing and why, step by step, and every possible way to go about the problem. Says attendance is mandatory, but didn't say anything to me when I started missing a bunch and still got A's.
