Jackson is actually not that bad. Took him in the summer. Class was informal and laid back. His lectures are actually interesting and pertain to real life experiences. However, you must read the book to get a good grade. Tests are mc and t/f, He gives good reviews too. Small papers and assignments basically completion grade. Great class

One of the worst professors in my life. Tells personal opinions and stories to hear himself talk with an audience and then tests word for word, rote memorization style questions from the book that are completely inconsistent with the main topics and just have the effect of testing whether or not you read the book. Mr. Jackson's class was very interesting and informative. I learned a lot in his class. There were only two exams and a final; most of the questions came from the book and less from the class lecture/discussion. Be sure to attend class and be present for the review; be sure to read the book thoroughly.

The person below is spot on. "Unclear. Unpredictable." However, get on his good side and you will NOT fail. But if you're aiming for an 'A' you better know the material. And keep in mind, the questions he asks on the exams typically aren't what you would think were key points in the chapter. Get to know him. Best I can tell you.

HIS CLASS IS SUPER BORING! He doesn't teach marketing at all he just teaches history. His exams are hard and are from the book and his lectures. If he disagrees with the book then his answer not the correct answer as shown in the text is right. Supposedly attendance is mandatory but thats BS he just grades based on your exams so do good on exams.

What a DOOF! Boring lectures, constantly asks 'how many of you follow that', must sit in front of class, doesn't allow groups of mixed gender in class, WTH?? Rotten lecture style, no presentation, just rambling his opinion on Intl Mkt subjects as he thumbs through book. Class and exams are not too difficult if you can bear the pain of attending.

If you are not a marketing major, it this his class would be ok. But he is not a great marketing professor, he rambles about irrelevant subjects and is not clear about his instructions. Class attendence is mandatory, he takes role in the last few mins of class. Boring and relativley easy class if you are not a mkt major.

Dr. Jackson is an awesome professor, you have to attend his class lectures and participate to get a good grade. He only gives a midterm and final and you need to study! The key is reading the text thoroughly and being there when he gives the review. I would recommend taking his class!

LEAST favorite class this semester! Professor is not organized or clear on grading. No direction. Irrelevant topics discussed most of the time. He assigned presentations for us to do which we didn't even finish. He's having some students finish theirs after the final exam. He took attendance often and I guess he kept track of who participated.

To get a good grade in this class you have to participate. Dr. Jackson remembers who contributes and keeps track of attendance. Go to class(especially the review) and you'll do fine. 2 test, a final, and a couple short papers. No big deal.

show up to class, participate in discussions, do the easy and short assignments, skim through the text sections he gives for the test reviews, and show up after the tests for possible extra credit and you are sure to get an A. he is very informative and not hard. he just doesn't like it when people text while he lectures. you wouldn't either....

Nice guy once you get to know him. Pay attention in class and be sure to show up for the test reviews. Also be there the day after the tests. Sometimes he is unclear with what he is saying, but overall I enjoyed the class. Participation and attendance weigh a lot when it comes time to calculate grades.

I went to class all the time, made a 95 on the midterm, did extra credit and turned in all of required articles and made a C in the class. If i wantted a C i would have slacked off, not tried my hardeest. VERY UNCLEAR GRADING< NOT FAIR, my first C in my major classes...also brought down my GPA. Most BORING CLASS EVER...LIKE HELL ON EARTH.

I cannot believe they allow someone like this to teach. Talks about his personal life and does not address marketing. Tests were about 100 questions on material he never went over. Useless teacher at UHD! It's teachers like these that make you wonder about the education system that we pay for.
