Interesting class, good lectures, but a hard grader. Not sure what he wanted out of the first paper, but after I figured out what he wanted, got a much better grade. He is an English teacher, and is a stickler for grammar, spelling, etc.

Mr. Johnson is, by far, the worst teacher at Findlay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get an A in his class and he is incredibly unhelpful. He plays favorites and doesn't care about how well you do in his class. He will say that your paper was excellent but still give you a C! And when you ask for help, he doesn't give it willingly.

Prof J is a good teacher and the class is easy. If you want help, he's willing to offer it. He is pretty fair, even if I don't always agree with his grading. I hated him for 106 tho, and really liked him for 202. I think it had everything to do with the course design.

i had mr. johnson for first year experience and i had to drop it bc i was failing. he was very unhelpful and he made the class way too hard for a first year class. it was twice as hard as my calculus class. i would never take him again

Dr. J. knows what he's talking about. Despite the other comments, he is very clear and concise and is willing to accomodate different opinions in order to better his class and his teaching techniques. He's a great prof.

Mr. Johnson is an extremely difficult teacher. I know that some people found him to be very unclear on the assignments, but I didn't really agree. Some of his papers were a little opinionated, and the class was extremely boring; the stories were awful. However, he did improve our writing.

He doesn't teach his students anything. Says that he doesn't feel responsible for students not knowing the material (i.e. MLA format) but he should because he never taught the material. All he did was hand out a sheet about it.
