Comment:

Good teacher. Gives lots of partial credit. Explains everything super fast but assigns tons of homework so you can catch up. Gives quizzes every week. Pretty funny guy.

Comment:

I took this class in the summer of 2018. Mr. King is an awesome teacher, but statistics is not a fun class to take. He goes through material fast and gives a good example of most problems on the board. He has a unique since of humor and it takes a bit to get used to it. This class isn't easy, but he was a good teacher and taught what was needed.

Comment:

Gary is a good teacher, but he expects you to know the material when you first walk into his classroom. He has a very high sense of DRY humor, so he does try to make the class enjoyable. Show up to class and don't interrupt him and you'll make good ties with him. You do have to do outside studying in this class though to completely understand.

Comment:

Professor King has a sense of humor that takes a lot of getting used to. After you get used to him, you might even laugh along with him. Otherwise his lectures consist of him speeding through examples and treating prerequisite material as if you've mastered it. Be ready to use several outside resources to get through this class. All in all, decent.

Be prepared to teach yourself the material. This professor speeds through examples on the board, does a poor job explaining what he's doing, argues with students, and spends the class trying to get a chuckle instead of teaching the material. If a large number of the class is absent he will give out a pop quiz. Form a study group if you take him.

Dr. King is a great professor. He's funny and has a dry sense of humor. You will either like him or you won't. He gives pop quizzes every week, but it helps you learn. He was available outside of class and was helpful. Not an easy A by any means. He gives partial credit and WebAssign only helps your grade. Loved the class and highly recommend him.

Mr. King is a highly intelligent, funny, and caring professor. If you show up, take notes, pay attention, and TRY he will help you succeed. I visited his office many times with a variety of question, and he was very patient and helpful each time. Again, the key is TRY and WORK HARD, not be smart or think you're smart and sluff off.

Mr. King knew too much information and did not know how to teach it. He assumes that his students know what he's talking about when we really don't. He goes off topic easily and looks down on you if you have a question. I asked him to go over how to do our homework, and he told me that I was an honors student and that I should know how to do it.

I felt Mr. King did an adequate job of teaching the material to the class. He moved at a decent pace and explained most of the material in a clear manner. However, in order to get an A in this class, I'd recommend doing all of the online homework on paper to refer back to, as well as some problems out of the book (which is optional).

Mr. King is a good teacher if you don't have a teacher. Really, he doesn't make the class interact with him at all, and his lectures suffer because of it, but he doesn't seem to care. You have to buy the book, but all he really uses is whatever he says in lecture and the utterly useless and infuriating MyMathLab. Do not recommend.

Some students learn easily and others don't Im going to be fair and say I dont learn easily, I didn't get the feeling that he cared if we learned or not. Class is fairly easy in the aspect that theres not a lot of hw and 2 quizzes every unit. A lot of work on your own, basically teach yourself the subject with the information you can get in class

Very weird guy. Funny, but in an odd sort of way. He is a decent professor. I found that he doesn't really explain why things are the way they are, just how to do them. It that is your style, you may like him. King is pretty laid back and grades very fairly.

Professor King has interesting lectures and is fair when assigning homework and test problems because he will not make the class do problems they have not been prepared for. I personally do not think the tests were very hard and he is also a more than fair grader.

Great Teacher. Connects with students. Tough material. Tries to make it interesting. A lot of homework, tougher tests. Lets you use formula sheets to remember complicated formulas. Read and study your book. It is essential and the examples are your lifeblood in this class.

Mr. King is a good professor. Don't be discourged if you dont start off good in this class. There are 4 tests total. Looking up resources online helped me pass this class. If you don't get something go to his office he is helpful. This was one of the hardest classes I have taken and I am glad I passed with an A.

Failed Calc 1 the first time I took it. The second time was with Mr. King. As of right now he is the best math teacher I ever had.

Love Mr. King. He is in my top 5 favorite professors I've had in my 4 years of college. He is willing to help and he makes his exams achievable. He covers the material clearly while using humor. His lectures are enjoyable and you won't be lost if you go to class. Also, be respectful. Attitude won't get you far in this class or real life.

Great at giving partial credit, and knows what he is doing. Do not go to the rest room, he will talk about you while you're gone. Do not ask questions in class, he will give a "you should know this, you're stupid" answer without plain out saying it. His teaching is extremely scattered, often forgets steps and just tosses them into the confusion.

Mr. King is a great teacher. Calc 2 isn't easy, but he's good at explaining all the concepts and does a ton of examples. Always willing to help if you need it. Assigns a lot of homework, doesn't always collect it, I would do it anyway. Tests are tough but he's a generous grader, lots of partial credit. Gives a lot of quizzes.
