Gary is hands down one of the best instructors I have ever had. His online BUSLAW class can be aced if you watch the zoom sessions. Take notes and study. Everything in the exam is covered in zoom. I highly recommend this class.

Your grade comes down to class participation (attendance) and papers. Some papers are short (journal entries) and some papers are longer (minimal research). The two books we read for the class are arguably hyped up self-help books. Grading is tough. The papers are set up with low expectations, but when you get your paper back prepare for a shock.

I think this was the hardest class I have ever taken at NMC. His lectures are pretty boring, and if you don't take notes you are screwed. His exams are 10 essay questions, and you have to answer exactly what he says in class, you can't miss a single word or comma. It was pretty hard for me, because I can't memorize concepts. Never again!!!!

His entire class is lecture based, forget the book, take notes when he's talking. He tends to get off topic and is very dull. His tests consist of 10 essay questions, which include about 3 questions each per essay question. You have to an insight paper, which you work on as you move through the course, make sure to counsel with him about it.

Had to read two books, lots of class participation, class is interesting and useful in everyday life. It's kind of a bummer that the project you work on all semester isn't allowed to be something that you care about and then at the end he tells you he hopes your interest is peaked, mine wasn't... I still wish I'd done my original thought.

I took this online, you will have to participate in group discussion and virtual classrooms every week. As long as you participate and study you will have no problem in the class. He really is willing to help if you need it.

Worst teacher I have had at NMC. He talks down to students, he's a lawyer so he is better than you ;). So much reading from a boring textbook. I took the class online which was horrible. The work was hard. I really regret taking his class and feel like nothing from it will stick with me.

Sometimes hard to keep your concentration, but he is a good teacher and knows the material. The tests are not that bad, you will be marked for missing what appear to be little things, but they are not little to him. Tests are about 80% knowledge based (you can just memorize information) and 20% critical thinking.

Taking his Critical Thinking hybrid course, condensed to 4 weeks. For someone who claims to value conciseness, clarity and ability to communicate, he is very boring and is hard to understand at times. The in-class sessions are a total snore fest, and he drones on and on using unnecessary words that some of my fellow students find hard to follow.

Terrible Professor. He was boring, and his lectures were mind numbing. I never have rated a professor before, but felt the need to warn people about this professor. He was full of hot air.

Gary used to practice law with a license, I am still unsure why he decides to teach at a junior college. Nice guy, stays in a confine of the "safe zone." Rarely does he share his personal aspect of his life. But he knows the subject well, I think he is one of the good professors at NMC. I would recommend Gary strongly.

Horrible. Very off topic, takeshim 25minutes to get through something that should only take 5. Does not like to answer questions in class. You can tell he is high on his horse and does not like to be proven wrong. Gary does not have respect for his students....I would aviod any class with him if you can.

If you are taking his online class for the typical reasons you would take an online class... such as flexability forget it. He only gives one day to take an exam which you have to take at the NMC learning center. If you have a job or kids or car problems or a life DO NOT TAKE his online class. Also he gets off topic alot.

DO NOT TAKE ANY ONLINE CLASSES FROM MR. KLOTZBACH!! He sets up a single day which you must take an exam and you have to take it in the Center for Learning!Every other professor gives you at least 5 days! Horrible setup for exams! Do not take ANY of his Online Classes! You have been warned!

Took this class online. The instructor is a good guy. Follow his outlines, take notes during the "virtual classroom" sessions, and study before taking the 4 exams and you will do fine. There is a 10 page paper that may seem daunting at first but it really isn't that hard. You have all semester to do it, I pretty much had it done in a weekend.

Great class. Glad I took it. I was hesitant on taking this class because this website had bad reviews on him. He is very fair when it comes to grading. Do the assignments and you will have an easy A. Attendance is graded, but he allows two absences with out penalty. I highly reccomend taking it. I have learned a lot

This very well could be the worst class I have ever taken at NMC. So boring, stupid assignments, lame conversation. Will mark you down for probably critically thinking WRONG.
