He does not know how to teach. The only things we did in his class was go over examples from the book. I did not learn anything from his class and in return failed his class. most of the poeple in the class were getting d's or f's on exams. he scales everything but not equally for everyone. horrible teacher, avoid at all costs

Worst teacher at UMASS Dartmouth. He makes millions of mistakes everyday and confuses everyone more than they already are. Must go to class! Because you have to take this class for Business I would highly recommend finding another teacher. Also, make sure he grades correctly.. messed up on mine multiple times!

Martin shows up to class unprepared. He uses notes from on line and does not even take the time to read them before showing up and spewing nonsense. What does he do with his class prep time? You are basically on your own to learn the material. Don't bother with is dishoveled babbling lecture the will only distract you. He's why tenure is bad.

Can't lecture to save his life. Constantly screws up problems where students have to correct him. His tests are relatively easy but he never specifies the format he puts it in. If you read the chapters you should be fine, but don't bother taking notes; he loses his place too much and it doesn't play out well for anyone. Try to avoid if possible.

A little confusing so if you're not good at math don't take this class. If you do take this class, make sure you do all the homework and the review problems cuz it helps know the material for tests. Scales most of the tests. Kinda wierd and boring, but overall an alright teacher.

If you have the slightest trouble with math, drop his class immediately. He is a nice guy and very smart but cannot explain anything. Gives lots of homework and basically have to teach yourself. I dropped this clas because it was too hard and about 50% of both classes he averaged were failing. Take add/drop week seriously and avoid getting a W

Space case, goes off on tangents.classes are boring but in the mac lab.He doesnt relate the material well together ( math and music) The two papers we had to write were both based on his Irish tune Database.which is a LIST of songs.Did well in the glass (A-) but the 5000 page paper was ROUGH especially since he never taught us the stuff... RUN AWAY

Wow. Just wow. I went into math and music expecting to learn a lot, but in the end I learned nothing. He's a really nice guy, but a terrible teacher. He doesn't follow the syllabus at all and he assigns a 5000 word paper two weeks before the end of class on stuff we never learned in class. Avoid!!!
