Now Gary is my favorite professor. You won't meet a more caring and nice man like this one. Communicate with him if you have any problems he is really flexible and wants you to get an A. He truly cares about everyone's safety and wellbeing. If I were to cry in front of any professor I would want it to be him.

My favorite professor at app! I had him for foundations 1 and foundations drawing! He rocks, he is caring and will do anything to help you get an A. Just show up and put in some effort and you'll be fine!

Hands down one of the best professors I've ever had the opportunity to work with. Even before I had his class he and I were friendly, he really cares about all the students at App, not just the ones he teaches. All around great guy too. If you have the option to take one of his classes jump for it NOW, because seats fill up fast.

gary is a wonderful person and very understanding of life. He helps you mold your own ideas and gives lots of feedback in the many critiques. he is like a friend, an awesome teacher and artist. 3 hour classes are long-- he eases the longness by talking about cool stuff/whatever you ask

Gary's such a great guy. He's really caring and wants to keep in touch with art students after they've taken his class. He's also really encouraging. Pretty easy A if you put in a little effort. Tries to be creative with projects and makes class fun most of the time. I would recommend him to a non-art major who's not very experienced with art.

I absolutely loved Gary's class. He is so awesome and is always there helping you in any way that he can. He can be pushy sometimes but he just wants you to get a lot out of what your doing. His projects were interesting, and he really liked to get into critiquing the art. I would definitely recommend Gary as a teacher.

Gary is a very laid back teacher. He is helpful and will happily give you suggestions on how to improve your work, but for the most part he gives you your own space. personally, having taken college-level art classes with more strict teachers, Gary's class has been a breath of fresh air. You get to decide what you think is good in your art.

Like everyone else said, Gary is awesome, and definately knows a lot about art. However it bothered me that every single project got a 95. I'm pretty sure everyone in the class got a 95. So, I won't be taking him again because I prefer to be challenged. BUT, he's a total sweetheart, and excellent teacher, so go for it.

Nemcosky is AWESOME! He is such a goof but very passionate about art. Lets you turn in work late if you need extra time. Grades very good. If you try then he will give you A's. Sometimes will take attendance but is really lenient about. Take him if you can, favorite professor so far.
