He had reasonable expectations, was really friendly, graded fairly (a little on the tough side), and was a really understanding guy. We had weeks to write an essay, I put it off and had tons of stressful stuff come up. He talked me through material, offered help on the paper, and gave me a break when grading. I didn't completely deserve that A.

Zaworski is a below average professor who taught an awful hybrid class. He made students buy a subscription to "Top Hat Monocle" and used that system to count participation. It inconsistantly received your submission. Tests are much harder than he promotes them and are 100% of your grade. Never replies to emails. Very unprofessional

Here's how the hybrid went: Once/week 2hr lecture at 8 in the morning, online lectures that were aight, non-mandatory homework. HARSH GRADER, penalizes heavily for calculating errors (like addition). Try to go over HW before tests. Don't be afraid to look like an idiot and ask stuff. Everyone has the same questions anyway. Can be boring.

Introduction to ME should be focused on mechanical engineering, not group projects where you are literally told that your grade depends on your willingness to sing, dance, and "bribe" judges with pies. Tuition isn't cheap, and those running the ME program should be ashamed of themselves for making a class like this mandatory.

This is the worst professor I have had in over 3 years. Tough grader, arrogant, and condescending so don't ask questions unless you like to feel stupid in front of the entire class

The spring section was a hybrid. His video lectures weren't extremely helpful. The homework was difficult and the weekly quizzes were a little over the top. He is a tough grader and is one of those teachers that gives more points to students that show up to office hours and show interest in the subject. Like him as a person, but avoid taking w/ him

If you can avoid taking this class with him, by all mean dont take it with him. Him and his TAs are hard grader on hw and test. Rarely any partail credits are given. You can get 0 on a completed hw. Test seems some what fair but grading is tough. His made up hw are greatly different from what the book teach. Bad lectures.

The spring version of ENGR 213 was a hybrid course which meant short online lectures, really hard and long homework questions as well as weekly quizzes. The first midterm average was a 73 as well. I consider myself a good student (3.25 GPA) but this class was ridiculous. I don't recommend Zaworski at all. Take this class at LB, I wish I would have.

Do not take this class with him. The way he evaluates your grade is ridiculous. Tests are the only part of the grade, on top of the 50% of your grade on each exam is based on two problems. Mess one of those up and you wont pass the tests. If he gave students a chance to improve their grades then he wouldn't be so bad.

Dr. Zaworski really isn't too bad. His puns however are PAINFUL. He has very fair exams and he mostly goes through examples in class. Go to class, take notes, and you'll do fine.

Do not take his class!!!In his midterm exam, final two question contains 50% credits. And you do not have any chances to improve your total grade!!!

I was very disappointed in Dr Zaworski's class. He was rather proud of himself, and was less than fair on the midterms and final. He liked to ask arbitrary questions, like the order of the greek alphabet on his tests. If you have to take him, print out EVERYTHING he has in class.

Not the worst teacher I ever had, but he comes pretty close. Only 50% of all his tests and quizes have anything remotely related to ME. He asks stupid questions on the tests like: "how much is this midterm worth?" and "what was the official title in the ENGR department for this guest speaker?". Terrible teacher, do not take if you do not have to.

Teaches with his back to the class writing on the chalkboard exactly what the examples are that are in the book, with less explaination. VERY HIGH FAIL RATE. I passed statics without trying to hard, worked at this class and got a "D". Take with a different instructor if possible.

Zaworski's an OK prof, but I gotta say, I didn't enjoy his class. I took ME101, but learned NOTHING, other than how to get around campus (which I already know) and that some prof's think it's ok to have half the class fail the midterm...

Boring class, didn't learn anything. Zaworski is useless, learned more from the TA's in recitation. The tests are on stupid things in the class such as "Who was the guest speaker.." But all the tests/quizzes are open note tests so thats a plus.

This professor is unclear, unapproachable and uninterested in individual success. He has unrealistic expectations and uses a ridiculous grading system. Just one example, 25% of the midterm project score was decided by three twelve year old judges... TAs were far better teachers than he. This class could be great but he makes sure it isn't. Avoid.
