Mr. Powell is one of the worst Professors I have ever dealt with. His tests have nothing to do with his study guide, and he is the worst to take notes off of. Also, he is extremely unhelpful. I have had one of my worst semesters and he could care less about being helpful to the situation. Never again will I take a class of his.

Mr. Powell is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He realizes that most students aren't history majors and that there are other more important classes you are taking, so he makes it easy. He makes his class interesting and he's VERY smart. Powell genuinely cares about his students and wants them to succeed. A great asset to this school!

Very easy class. Besides the reading assignments books rarely used. Mostly a full lecture class. Goes a good job and is interesting and personally interested in the subject. Has some class management issues, so if off topics and mindless chatter bother you, he is not for you.

Took this prof. for both HIS 108 & 109. There are a lot of terms but if you keep up with them you will do fine. No reason why you shouldn't get an A. He makes HIS interesting. Tests come right from term lists and lectures. Easy!!! Great Prof!!!

I have taken this professor for a total of 3 classes. Term list suck but they are what he tests are about along with lecture. HIs 108 he elctured astriaght from the book. PS 101 he was way off course but we did talk a lot about current events and he tested over that. HIS 109 just now taking.
