Fairly good at explaining things, though he assumed prior knowledge too often. Interesting, and easy to pay attention to, but I ended up dropping his class after getting abnormally low scores on his test.. took off excessive and unjustified points.

This guy is the biggest retard Rose has to offer. I don't know how good of a teacher he is in his other classes, but this guy has no idea what he is talking about with Stat's. He didn't teach us anything relative to the book, and for the first time in Stat's history he gave his own final instead of following evans final. Please avoid SHERMAN!!!!

I had Sherman for DISCO I and II and enjoyed the class. It's a bit difficult, but he will usually give you at least one extra credit opportunity - TAKE IT! I missed out on the XC during DISCO I and it almost cost me a letter grade. He's a cool guy, don't get on his bad side though, although I'm not really sure if it impacts your grade at all.

Teaches with general concepts and not real examples. You will hardly ever see a real number on the white board, just lots of general constants and equations, along with a bad book makes the homework rather difficult for a normally easy course. Hilarious professor though, keeps you awake.

Sherman is the absolute best math teacher/prof that i have ever had. His enthusiastic approach when it comes to "sleezy" mathematics is abosolutely phenominal. Homework is light, and the use of Maple would be nice, but otherwise superb prof.
