Great professor who is passionate about what he does. Just be prepared to rip your hair out during lectures and really defend your projects in order for him to see your idea. He will push you and make you work for it.

Attend every class, listen and take notes, do the work on time, put in effort and you'll be ok. Workload is design heavy and final project is hard work! Not the best professor I've had, but by far not the worst either.

He is extremely boring and unhelpful. He always wants whatever is simplest, so don't try to be too creative. He means well, but doesn't really teach you many techniques. Oh and like everyone else said, he keeps you the entire time EVERY TIME.

Yes, he's boring and slow. It's almost like he does everything so slow just so the class will last 2:30. He is a decent professor and willing to help. I'm confused why an old man is teaching design on Mac computers; it hasn't been too bad. The advertising design final project is huge. Design is my passion though, and I love it regardless.

Talk about a boring class. 2:30 of staring at a Mac. His input is rarely needed, but he makes you look at him, even if you know it. He means well, but his personality is so dry. If you take the time to do the projects inside and outside of class, you'll be fine.

Gary's class made me avoid the digital arts program at Stonehill. He's pretty much the only digital professor, which made me sad. His class was repetative, slow, and boring. He showed us about 4 tools in Photoshop and figured we knew the entire program. I might have presued the digital path if not for Gary Stanton.

Stanton is incredibly boring and the 2.5 hr class will pretty much make you want to rip your hair out. All you do is work on projects and he doesn't really teach that much, you're on your own for a lot of stuff. But I still like him, he gave good feedback, and liked the projects we did. Plus they're easy and don't require a ton of outside work.

Stanton is an idiot. Spends most of the 2.5 hour class rambling. He repeats everything he says like 6 times and has the most annoying voice i've ever heard. The class is easy, but it is not work the 2.5 hours of agony every week. If you are taking him, DROP IT.

He was awesome! He was always there to give you feedback on your work, whether it be positive or negative - both were helpful. He wasn't mean about his constructive criticism either, which made it easier to take.
