Dr. V is one of my favorite professors at Behrend. He is a very fair grader and I felt like the content was as interesting as it could be. I said attendance was not required, but he does give occasional assignments in class and collects them for attendance. He is very friendly and easy to get along with as long as you aren't a slacker or looking for handouts.

Straight forward class. Go to every class to get the in-class participation. If you get every in-class point, you get bonus. The class is easy with many chances for bonus. You have to attend 3 concerts and write an easy 500 word paper for each one. Take notes, read his course content and fill out his study guides and you will get an A+.

I adored this class and this professor. I found the class to be fairly easy - tests are a bit hard, as he likes to try to trick you, but in-class activities are basically free points, and the homework is easy as all getout. I highly recommend this to anyone who wants an art credit that is fun. You'll laugh a lot, he's delightfully weird.

this class is simple. he doesn't take attendance and he has random assingments in class once in a while. the quizzes are online so you can use the book. it's an easy A, all you have to do is read the chapters and do the review sheet before the exam. i got a B in the class because i put absolutely no effort into it.

Overall not a bad professor very helpful and overall easy assigments. The tests are somewhat difficul if you have no musical background though. But theres enough extra credit to make up for it. Easy B or A hands down

Incredible. There are no words currently in existence to describe how easy this class is. Literally told us we dont have to come to class and could still get an A. Having said that, hes so entertaining that you'll want to go to class. Boring subject but cant hate the man

On a side note, I have seen several jars of mayonnaise in my lifetime that could pass his courses. He makes music worth listening to, worth playing, and worth learning about. One of the greatest professors at Behrend.

You HAVE to be less than an idiot to get a bad grade in his class. Attendance not taken but random (and easy) pop assignments. Easy and fun classes. Often gets caffeine-hyper but it just adds more fun. Who else would use London Bridge and Gold Digger to explain jazz rhythms (among many other examples) Go right ahead take his class (if still open)
