Professor Waayers' 3 exams are hard. He did give study guides for the essay question but the multiple choice is difficult. His lectures are straightforward and he really wants the students to succeed.

He is a great teacher and respectful. I hate to say this but his lecture and test are very tedious. He doesn't provide study guide. I always was prepared myself to his test but still confused when the test comes. Moreover, the time is not enough for the tests and the quizzes. If you want to take his class, just be aware yourself.

Professor Waayers is a good professor who truly cares about his students. He wants all his students to pass, which is why he reviews the material and gives you the answers to the written questions. He also asks if you have any questions so if you do ASK THEM! If you go to class/lab, study hard,& be kind you'll most likely pass.

An awesome professor who loves his job and cares about his students learning! I would take his class anytime. Your grade relies heavily on test scores so being present for lectures is a must. He tells you exactly what the written questions are on every test which is about 40 percent. Take good notes and study them. No reason to fail this class.

The class is incredibly straight forward. There is no extra credit, and the primary grade comes from tests. 50% of each test are written answers which he GIVES YOU and GOES OVER before the test. You could guess on the multiple choice and still get at least a C. He uses fun and relevant references to help you remember. Highly recommend him!

Waayers is a great professor. As many others have said, he does tend to go off topic during lectures. The lectures are a big part of the class. During lectures he will tell you what will be written questions on the exam. After 3 absences you will be dropped. Labs aren't difficult nor easy. 3 exams. Quiz every week in lab. Very straight forward clas

Lectures are very boring, and he always goes off topic. Also he is not very approachable when asking to clarify, or having questions on any given topic it seemed like a lot of students were scared to say the wrong thing. Make sure you read the book he leaves a lot of out of his lectures, and also be prepared for lab quizzes super important

Great teacher! If you are really there to put in the work to achieve a good grade it won't be difficult. He is a very environment-continues professor and definitely gives his opinion on what he thinks about all the environmental issues. I didn't mind much though even when I disagreed with his opinion.

Waayers is a nice, positive professor, but I don't think he knows how hard he makes this class. Lectures are super boring and hard to pay attention to, but it's really a must if you want to do good on the tests. He goes off topic a lot which makes it hard to pay attention, so I suggest reading the book to get better understanding.

Reminds me of Santa. Which is great. Quizzes everyday of lab. Only 3 exams. Final is not comprehensive. Tells you everything you need to know. Tests are kind of difficult still. No study guide just lecture. So don't miss lecture.

Waayers is pretty cool, I like him a lot. The only thing is he has 3 tests to base your grades on (that includes the final) his tests are super hard. Go to class because if you miss a day you are out of luck. He is very clear though and will give you the answers to his written portion of the test so memorize that and then study for multiple choice.

If I rate someone or something high, it must be really good (flawless). The greatest personalty everrrrrrrr! He creates such friendly and pleasant environment in the class. Prof. Waayers can make even a rock to understand Biology! Show up to every class and take good notes, and without reading the book, you have little reason not get a B.

He is a nice guy, but he doesn't provide a study guide to help students,some test questions are not discussed in his lectures, & he takes points for simple mistakes. Although he tells us the written question, you need to record him so you can quote him to not miss a lot of points.His grading is so complicated & you can't even calculate you grade.

Comment:

The best teacher on the planet or probably on the Universe!He is funny, crystal clear,and the friendliest teacher ever.I didn't even read the book and a got a B. He tells you what do you need to know for the 3 the exams. If you only take notes, you'll pass. The lab is annoying, yet it is just 25% of your total grade. I was lucky to take his class.
