Gema is the sweetest prof I've ever had at Queen's. She really cares about the students, and always explains concepts over again until you understand them. Her labs are well-structured and follow the lecture material to a tea. Her exams are fair and the material is very interesting. Overall, AWESOME course and prof!!

Gema is nice, but.. It's hard to nail down- her approach is a bit off. So I don't know if being nice equates to being a good professor. She doesn't seem to be in touch with what she's teaching- she lectures the material- but doesn't know how to teach it, nor does she care if she does. She seems out for herself, and out at conferences a LOT.

Gema has easily been the most friendly and helpful university professor I have ever had. She is always ready to answer questions, is constantly reviewing to ensure comprehension and is not only willing but excited to go the extra mile. Show any interest in her class, and she'll be your personal tutor and cheerleader the whole semester.
