I took speech and language with him many moons ago. He was the worst professor I had at Stonehill. He was a condcending man who was only interested in himself . He was not an educator, but rather someone who was only interested in his own antiquated research .My only suggestion is if you receive him as a professor run dont walk and change sections

I had George for behavior and classroom managementNO help at all! He told us that as long as we had an engaging lesson, we would never have a behavior problem. Twenty-two years of teaching later and I would love to tell him how WRONG he washe's a dinosaur!!!!

A nice enough guy and has many interesting things to share, but don't expect to walk away actually having learned classroom management skills. This class is an easy A. There are a few papers based off of readings, but you can easily do them without reading. It's an okay class with good discussions, but it doesn't prepare you for the real world.

Classroom Theatre- take the class if you can! It was absolutely fantastic, and very interactive. You get let out early a lot and class was canceled several times!

this class was one of my worst experiences. branigan doesn't give any real assignments, and he "doesnt believe in grading". therefore, the C that I received was literally based off of nothing. There was not ONE graded assignment. He's condescending and extremely arrogant

Worst teacher on campus. If you get him switch out asap!! You will not learn anything and get an awful grade. you dont have any concrete assignments, and no due dates. he is very rude and not approachable through office hours or anything.

Branigan is one of the worst professors at Stonehill. I learned nothing in his class, although i went to every single one. He tells you that there are no deadlines, but then wont let you hand things in if he decides theyre too late. He has no syllabus or grading system. He was my first edu professor and completely turned me off to education.

I absolutely loved this class, even though everyone else complained about it. George was an excellent teacher and the material was soooo interesting if you actually tried to pay attention. As long as you participate and seem like you;re interested you should do fine in the class.

Speech and Language is an awful class. He basically just yells at the entire class for not being interested in his outdated research he conducted in the 70's. He is so condescending and makes everyone in the class feel uncomfortable. He doesn't give out evals so clearly he doesn't care about student feedback. It should not be a required Ed course.

Branigan is really hard for speech and language, but his other courses are EASY and completely worth it. There are never finals (or at least not tests) and he's helpful- especially in classroom management. He'll also NEVER waste your money with text books!

Branigan is really tough to get used to, but when you finally understand his teaching methods you learn to love him. If you are not a self-motivated student, do not take this class or you will do badly. You have to make up your own assignments. He inspires you to do your best individual work. His final is a killer, but somehow i still got an A

By far the worst teacher on campus. Has no respect for his students. He does not follow any kind of syllabus and you never know what you're going to get. Doesn't teach you anything, then gives you the most impossible final. IF YOU GET INTO THIS CLASS WITH HIM, CHANGE SECTIONS!!! He's an awful 8:30 teacher, definately the worst in the ED department.

He is so smart and really knows what he is talking about. The material is very hard to grasp, but he genuinely cares about each student understanding everything. I loved the class, and I think he is a great professor. It's not easy, and you have to work hard be willing to try.

I absolutely loved george. He was fun, had very interesting topics, some of his tests were easy since he would give them at the end of class, about stuff from that class so it's fresh on your mind. Sometimes he lets you get off easy. Great time.... learned a whole lotta useful stuff... and he teaches barefoot.. ouch!

George is one of the best teachers here...hands down. You will never find a professor that cares as much about his students as George does. He will bend over backwards to help his students and actually listen to what they have to say. Consider yourself lucky to be in class with George.

horrible teacher who needs to clip his toenails and wear shoes to class because it is very distracting for us students to attempt to learn the material while he prances around barefoot.

This was the only Ed class I took at Stonehill that I didn't get an A in. In fact I got a C. Because we were graded on nothing all semester, it was hard to argue with the final grade that he pulled out of thin air, so I never bothered.
