Ralph is the man! He is a super genuine guy that loves to help. He can go off tangent in class sometimes to provide a funny story. Very knowledgeable guy, very theory based and math based (not the most technical). You will learn a lot of theory that you have to learn to apply to programming.

Comment:

Ralph was a good teacher but had a tendency to get too involved in his student's personal lives and shared too much of his own life. This was very distracting. However, that being said, I did enjoy every class I took from him back in the 80's.

Ralph is am amazing teacher. He is always there to help you no matter what, he wants his students to excel so he pushes them. He is the main reason I stayed with the program. Makes the CS deptarment the amazingness that it is.

The only knock on Ralph is that, like Shai, he has no industry experience, only Dugan has that. Besides for that, he is by far the best professor i've ever had, and he's funny as hell. His tests are tough, but fair. Do you know Pancake Mauriello?

Greatest teacher i've ever had, funny as hell and extremely knowledgeable, and ALWAYS willing to help students (he has a ton of office hours) if you can take a class with him by all means DO IT!!! (his tests are hard though)
