He has the gift of entertaining, educating and inspiring at the same time, while still managing to throw in some very colorful stories into his lectures! Absolutely the funniest professor at UM. Class is so easy, and he tells you what to write down for the tests. His tangents are entertaining and you'll actually enjoy going to class. Definitely recommend!

Capewell is amazing...funniest teacher at UM. He tells you excactly what to put in your notes, and then tests you on those exact notes. You do need to study the notes, but if you do that it couldn't be easier.

Capewell was my favorite prof at UM. First college class with this guy, and it was the right start. His class is actually enjoyable to go to, espcially with the visual gratification and his great industry stories. Professor...maybe... Teacher...definitely. A pretty overrated prof. Sure, he's entertaining, but he lets his T.A's do all the real work & just comes to the lectures to blathers on about whatever he feels like. Is popular 'cause hes fun. Learned very little in this class and he grades your final films very subjectively. The film equipment was always broken and grad students get first dibs.

A-freakin-mazing! Like a friend of mine told me: he's got the personality of Robin Williams. He tells you what's on the test, study that and you're set. He'll randomly start talking about something that happened to him during his Hollywood days or other stories, always entertaining. He knows his stuff, and simplifies everything as much as possible. The best part: all tests are based on the lectures, no books, no reading, no homework!!
