Christou is honestly the best Chem 2 professor at UF. His lectures are actually useful in that he explains and goes over his notes allowing you to better understand the material. He posts everything online including his notes and practice exams and quizzes. Best part is his practice exams are nearly identical to the actual exam.

I never went to class and used study edge. He actually is a really cool guy though. The practice tests are exactly like the real exams and the quizzes are usually fair, except for one of them I found to be random and tricky. I loved that there was no homework whatsoever. Only grades are your exams and quizzes, but use study edge and you'll be fine

Take Dr. Christou for CHM2046! Chemistry doesn't come easy to me and in the past I have hated other Chem classes. Dr. Christou is very nice and his lectures/ notes are very clear and informative. I liked reading the textbook for help, but not necessary. He really does make Chemistry more fun and easier to understand.

Professor Christou is one of the best professors I've had at UF. It is very important to go to class and stay on top of the material because it adds up quickly. He is a very good lecturer and person. His tests area little tricky but if you practice enough home work you'll get it. Quizzes are tougher. Very doable class.

DO NOT TAKE CHRISTOU! He thinks he's the funniest guy in the world, he only cares about himself, and he enjoys tricking students. He said at the beginning of the semester that he heard he was an easy professor so he decided to make all the exams and quizzes harder. He cannot answer the questions asked in lecture and he is very unapproachable. BYE

Christou has to be my favorite lecture so far in my short time at UF. He's very funny and he makes you clearly understand the material which makes the class enjoyable. He posts practice quizzes and tests which are generally similar to the actual ones. His notes are clear and concise. 4 quizzes (1 drop) 3 exams (1/2s worst exam) and 1 final grade.

Dr. Christou is probably the best Chem 2 professor at UF. He posts his notes online, so lecture is optional. I would suggest going to lecture as he explains his notes and gives examples that are usually on the exams and quizzes . For the most part, the questions he asks are fair and very similar to what he provides in lecture and on homework.

Dr. Christou was an amazing professor for Chem 2. His lectures were not mandatory as he posted his notes online, but in class he would further explain the material in a way that the student would easily understand. His exams weren't too hard, but you have to know what you are doing. Overall a great professor that actually makes Chem 2 fun?

Great lecturer! He gives you all the notes. I loved his class. 4 quizzes (one drops), 3 tests (only counts half of your worst grade), and a final. He doesn't release the grading scale until after finals though

He's an amazing lecturer and provides his students with access to his notes. His practice quizzes/exams are usually similar to the the real ones. The hardest part about the course is that there's so few grades (only 4 quizzes, 3 exams, and the final). Also, he doesn't reveal his grading scale till the semester's end, which is frustrating.

Definitely not an easy class, but he uses a very forgiving final grading scale. Seemed to be the easiest of the chem 2 profs based on what I saw from my friends taking the others. Study Edge is necessary if you don't go to class but his lectures are fairly enjoyable. Tests are tricky, read carefully. Know the problems from any angle possible.

I hate chemistry but Christou made it about as clear as he could have. His notes are online and very clear and organized. He also gives practice exams and quizzes that are very similar to the real thing. I didn't even use study edge and I should get an A-. I like using the textbook for practice but it's not required.

So happy I took a chance and took him. He was great!!! I had study edge and studied pretty hard and the tests were fair (got As). He puts his own practice test and quizzes up which are really similar to the actual things (though a little easier so be able to go above the practice questions i.e. study edge questions). And he puts great notes online!

I think he is probably the easiest chem 2 professor at UF. Very intelligent and funny, makes corny jokes sometimes, but usually they are pretty funny. Attendance isn't required but I personally enjoyed the lectures. Would definitely recommend.

Probably the best chem2 prof. Tests aren't hard, but very tricky. Definitely gives easier tests and explains concepts (with online notes) better than Horvath. He also curves a little (an 85 was an A this semester). Don't ask him for help though as he can't really identify with students, go to your TA with any questions. Homework is optional.

He appears to be a nice buy, but has a vindictive streak in him. Does not care if you need help or not. Test can be very tricky, practice test only help with particular questions or concepts. Final grading scale hurt those who were close to another grade.

He's notes are straight offline and he tries to do examples in class but he usually can't because he runs out of time. His exams are a lot harder than the practice ones. Take your time and don't miss easy questions. First and third exams are easy. Second one is hard. Final was super hard, I think the final dropped me from an A to a B.
