He is such a nice and funny teacher. Class is really easy if you just work well in your assigned groups. Its all about group work in this class. I got a B but easily could have pulled an A if i tried harder. TAKE him he's great!

Very out of touch with modern life. Gets upset with you with you do not meet his expectations, but does not tell you what his expectations are ahead of time. Forgets things constantly, such as the assignments you turned in already. Extremely stressful class. Overall a nice guy, but has a horrible teaching attitude.

Coakley will complain about how he's just trying to prepare us for the professional world, but won't act like a professional himself. In meetings of review of group progress, he will blow up about everything he doesn't understand, then insult you to your face. He doesn't understand social expectations, i.e. how intelligent the consumer is or is not

He will tell you how great you're doing and that you have a great chance of winning but he tells that to every group. His lectures are boring and repetitive. He can be moody and holds things against students. Don't work too hard because even if you do, your grade might disapoint you.

He is boring and he doesn't help you much. He just leave the groups alone and does not give much directions. Other then that, he is easy and it's very difficult to get a bad grade.

Comment:
He talks in circles and says the same things over and over again. Meetings with him were pretty much pointless and boring. He's not very open-minded to creative ideas. Seems to only be interested in business aspects of advertising. That was disappointing to find out. This class is a lot of work but isn't as hard/stressful as people make it seem.

Prof. Coakley was one of the dopest teachers in the field of Advertising. He knows what he's talking about and I give him kudos for his teaching style. Rock on Coaks!

George and Tim Reilley were the best professors we could have asked for. They didn't interfere too much, gave great input, and helped out wherever they could. George tends to get sidetracked on weird things, but he is a really good guy. 129 is ALOT of work. Dont take it unless you have LOTS of time!

His lectures take an interesting subject and make it boring. The most bothersome thing about him is his arrogant and pompous nature--it's quite obvious that he thinks very highly of himself, and he makes sure that the students know how "great" he is. He is hard to take.

His lectures weren't the greatest but his grading was the best! :) I got a B when I was sure I was going to fail! :D I didnt get a chance to know him because the class size was huge, but others tell me he's a cool guy.

he teaches the campaigns class which is the last advertising class you should take at SJSU. If you don't have at least 8 hours a week to give to this class then take it when you do!!
