Took him for PHY2048, he's definitely awesome and entertaining. Wish I could take him for PHY2049 but, alas, he's (possibly) retiring after 43 years. Insanely smart & witty. Exams resemble Sample Exams online, Quizzes worth 45% (fairly easy if you use book and take time). Allows formula "card" for each exam. Have fun in Australia, old man!

Awesome teacher, very laid back.No surprises.I enjoyed attending his 8 am class & loved his stories.go to class, do your best on quizzes(there will be extra credit quizzes at the end),& study the exam reviews and you'll do better than you expected.2 labs.

Guys this guy is F!@#$%^& awesome. Quizzes all online! worth 50 percent! curves tests! no labs. Physics is a hard class if you want a chance for an A you better take coyne. Also he is very nice and his chats about various things are nice.

He's a nice person & will help you out. It is very hard to make it to class after a while because it's one hour Mon-Fri, and in the morning. I took it 8-9 an it was HARD!HW everyday/takes 4ever to do/doesn't collect hw//Quiz after every Chapter online (really hard if you're not caught up)/few labs//Grades--Quizzes (50%)/Tests/Labs/Lactures each day

easy if yea pay attention and ATTEND CLASS.. yea bums ! other then that , cheat on the quizes as they are online. test arent too easy but you get a study guide which is VERY much like the real thing. study them and do good on the quizes and yea should have at least a B with minimal effort.

Coyne should be in a research lab dealing with scientists and people that are already in his level because he doesnt know how to communicate his ideas to those that dont know physics. He derives all the formulas and goes super fast. If it wasnt for the quizzes, I would've failed.
