Jonathan is really amazing. Although he retired. He was a great professor. He was always excited to see his students. His exams were really easy, and he barely gives homework. He gives a lot of reading, and his class is like a lecture.

Comment:

I loved being in class with Prof. Laskowitz and wish I could take another course with him. Here's why: 1. There is no busy work. Each reading, essay, and video has a specific purpose and lesson. 2. Laskowitz puts as much effort into grading your papers as you put into writing them. 3. He wants all students to succeed. Superb prof!

Took every single class he taught, did average in each course but found him to be extremely organized and willing to help any student who sought out his assistance. Fantastic teacher who helped shape my college career and I would recommend any class he teaches to anyone.

Laskowitz can be funny sometimes and the first few lectures are interesting but then they're boring after a while. You work hard on the essays and then only get an OK grade in return. The TA sessions are what is most helpful and where you learn the most. They make it so the class isn't so bad over all.

Laskowitz is one of my favorite teachers! He actually got me into sociology and got me to double with it. He is very clear and understanding. He tries really hard to make sure you get the material. His midterms and finals aren't hard but he loves reviewing until the minute before the test. Take a class with him! You won't regret it!

Mr. Jonathan Laskowitz is the man. He will give a good lecture as well as back up vocals on anything. He will keep the classroom spick and span with his index finger. If he doesn't know your name, he will repeat it constantly. He knows all about J.O.'s. If you want a B.A. teacher/class, look no further, says Laskowitz. Wangs.

The class is definately interesting and worth taking. It's fairly obvious that he cares about what he's teaching and he just a good prof. in general. The tests are a bit annoying, but overall I would definately recommend taking this class.

The readings he assigns for class are all very interesting and related to the main topics of class. His lectures seem convoluted at times, but overall he is excellent. The essays are pretty intense, and the midterm and final exams are difficult but it is well worth it. I would highly recommend Laskowitz.

One of my favorite professors at IC, I wanted to take more clases with him but didnt work out. If yoy do your work on time and prepare for tests sure will have an A in the class. tests are somewhat medium level of difficulty.
