He is funny which helps breaks up the long and sometimes boring lectures. His tests are hard but listen to him and the tests are a little easier.

He is an old bugger, but know his stuff! He might have a monotone voice, but it almost makes for a sense of "you better listen" or might miss something important. I feel as though the less kids that show to lecture the more he'll make exams on lecture questions

Sometimes he is flat out hilarious. He's old and has lots of good stories. Tests are tough but read and listen to the lecture and take practice quizzes. He mentioned Eric Cartman from South Park too so he gets points for that.

Very awesome teacher. Very hard grader, but usually gives 10-15 point curves. Attendence is graded, and lectures are used on tests. Very cool teacher, with a lot of interesting stories.

Great prof, pretty funny and easy to understand. I only opened the book twice. Tests are hard if you don't go to class but if you go and pay attention you'll do fine. IF you have any problems, he's more than willing to help.

Not horrible but makes test extrememly hard then curves the class by 70 points to make up for it. The book is awful, all statistics and terrible to read, but you have to read it to get a C on a test and to take the weekly online quizzes

Very easy class. A lot people don't do well because he never counts attendance and people are too lazy to read the book. He teaching style is very unorthodox. It may be boring at times, but he is a very smart teacher. As long as you read the book and attend lectures, anyone can easily get a B.

He is pretty monotone and hard to listen to most of the time but if you can get around it you will learn from what he is saying. There is alot of studying that needs to be done in order to get good grades on his tests. It really helps to know the vocab in the book too.

I really enjoyed this class as a rest and a change from my major. I studied far less for this class than all of my other classes and still easily got an A in the class. Anyone who says this class is impossible to succeed in has obviously never taken a serious class. I never had any urge to fall asleep in his class, he's actually very interesting!

His tests are random questions, he has a monotonal voice which becomes very boring to listen to..and he wonders why noboy stays for lectures?! He gets off topic all the time. It seems that he doesn't care about his job and teaching us. If you want to get a good grade in sociology DONT take it with him. Its impossible to get even a grade above a C.

He is a hard guy to warm up to. if you ask questions he will do his best to answer them. the less kids show up to lectures the more the test will be on the lecture. if you ask for help he will help you. he knows its stuff and has political sence of humor

He was very interesting but his tests came out of no where with random questions that you would never think to study! Yeah there was a curve but if you are someone who has to have an A don't take it cause that is impossible. If you do have him for this then make sure you study the random numbers on all of the diagrams in the text, they will be test
