I had Prof. Katsiaficas for Social Movements, and Art History back in the early '90s. He was what I wished all my professors had been like. He is tops in his field, and is able to transfer this knowledge in a way that is interesting, and memorable.

what an awesome class! he's a very interesting guy and is a really big history buff. he's pretty big with writing assignments but makes up for it by being a pretty lenient grader. I'd recommend him to anyone

No textbooks, everything is online. He made classes very interesting, probably as best as ive ever seen. Explains things very clearly and is very helpful if you ask about it. you can tell he loves to do what he does. Grading is based on essays and tests. You have to write alot of essays (5) each 5+ pgs. Great teacher, and great interesting person all around. Very active around the world. His class is relatively easy and excited if you are even relatively interested in the subject. You also takes lots of trips to the MFA. Definitely recommended

Katsi is an awesome guy. He is very down to earth and will give you the same respect you show to him. The class is taught almost entirely on PowerPoints but try having a discussion in the class instead- he LOVES it. All in all, he is an awesome guy who I'll definitely keep in touch with after graduation :-)

He's a cool guy. I didn't particularly find all of his lectures interesting as some people do and the videos he showed were mostly boring. He has alot of knowledge and will open your eyes to some stuff you may not be aware of. Recommended and he's fairly easy

BRILLIANT!!!!!! All professors should be like him. He knows how to keep your attention, is obviously passionate about what he does, and doesnt mind joking around. You HAVE to take a class with him at least once - the man's a down-to-earth genius.

Awesome teacher. He's been just about everywhere on Earth, and can teach from what's he's personally seen. Most of his classes are in the museum, and he does a good job of making what could be a very boring topic interesting. One downside - a lot of work.
