He is a good professor, but you must be adamant on taking notes and listening in class. You cannot pass through this class easy, but he has a decent sense of humor and it makes the class easier. He can be strict, but the class is worth it.

The only 'C' I've gotten in my college career. This was a class that I was interested in but after taking it, not so much. He would ask questions and answer them himself and when it came to the tests, I don't know what standards he used to grade. I would not recommend this professor ever!!!!!!

This professor knew what his field of study, but not so much to to teach it effectively. He lectured the entire class period, rarely asked questions and then participation was part of the grade. Only 'c' I've gotten at MSU. Definitely wouldn't recommend this one.

Professor gave clear directions, accurate information for notes, and followed the syllabus. VERY important to go to class. Fair grader, and he knows the material. Nice Guy. I recommend this professor, just follow his directions.

This guy sucks at giving notes. When you look back on your notebook it was just a bunch of circled words being connected. It is his way or the highway, very "you would'nt do anything about it anyway" kind of guy. the grading is ridiculoussss, you can write straight from the book and it would still be wrong to him.

It is true that he is a harder grader when it comes to the final, but I have not seen any of the meanness or arbitrariness talked about in others' ratings. I would say if anything, he is very fair. A very nice, likable professor... the subject matter can be a little on the dry side but I enjoyed his class enough to take him again for another class.

nice mean, pretty easy class but his grading is all messed up. i got an 99 on the midterm, but then a C+ on the final when its take home! it doesnt make sense to me either because i have all the notes & wrote down everything i had in my notes, so how i got a c+ i have nooo idea.. soo yesss weird grader

Worst professor ever. I have a 3.6 GPA, so I'm not lazy or stupid, and I ended up with a C in this class. He tells you on the midterm to answer with what you think will get the most points but on the final its only 1 thing of the 30 we talked about that he wants. Anything else gets NO points. Don't take him!!

Had him for two classes in one semester. He can be a hard*ss, but if you show up and study you'll be fine. Must show up to class, must not talk in class, and all test are OPEN-ENDED(no multiple choice EVER), and no extra credit; if you mess up you're more than likely screwed.

I absolutely love this class. The prof. makes it so understandable and you learn so mcuh about the env. its unbelievable. I go home and teach everyone what I have been taught. The prof. is great he clarifies everything perfectly. Recommend it.

He is def. a good prof. The only problem is that this class is just boring. But if you put in and write notes you will not fail. He seems not to like the class either becasue the material is all over the place but he does clarify everything in a way you understand it. Recommend him. Do your part and he'll do his.

By far my favorite professor (and I've had a lot) I had no interest in the class before I took it but he made it very interesting. Extremely intelligent, nice and helpful. I wish I would have had him when I 1st started MSU b/c I would have taken every Soci class with him. People who think he doesn't grade fair probably didn't study or pay attention

His grades seem to be pulled out of thin air. I'm still in awe that I got an A-. PAY ATTENTION! If you miss one thing you're lost. He can be nice and funny as long as the class isn't disruptive or rude. Often allowed us to leave early.

very unfair grader. i busted my a** in this class, and came out with only a C+!!! his tests are all essay questions and instead of grading you on ideas he grades you on names and dates. his take home final is equally as difficult, as he is an extremely unfair grader. what a jerko**!!!!!
