I thought this class was easy. There's a lot of homework but you have more than enough time (usually 2 weeks) to get it done. Good review and time to ask questions. Only complaint is that he does not answer questions in class very well sometimes.

Great teacher. He is extremely dedicated to his teaches. I will miss him, one of the most inspiring and helpful teachers. You must show up to class and DO THE HOMEWORK! Overall he is beyond great.

interesting and funny, lots of stories and tangents. You will not learn much in class other than theory.His examples are not well conveyed and your questions are answered vaguely. You will need to learn on your own by doing all the homework.

Very interesting approach to teaching. Keeps you awake through humor but is a very good teacher, and smart too. He went to Harvard for free! Very approachable and he knows how to teach if you dont get it the first time. Likes his job very much and has a lot of knowledge to offer us!

Great Professor! He does teach alot of material, and mostly concentrates on theory(but isn't math supposed to be theory?). He does expect you to learn some of the material on you own. He is a very funny man. He once spent 1/2 the class talking about why he has the right to hate chinese chalk. If you're serious about math, I would recommend him.

I have always been great at math and gotten A's. I was so confused for the entire semester. DO THE HOMEWORK!! and don't fall behind. You need to be willing to teach yourself. He's funny at least!

Class consists of Matthews basically reading notes off the overhead. He goes very fast. He is willing to answer questions but even then many of his answers are vague and hard to understand sometimes. He's very funny and has qurky sense of humor that had the class laughing often. DO NOT FALL BEHIND IN THIS CLASS!!! Much independent study is needed.
